Seaside Adventure | Kids Summer Craft Series
Part of a five-session Summer Craft Series, this Seaside Adventure workshop focuses on under-the-sea creativity through hands-on art making. Children ages 7 to 12 will paint, build, and craft three beach-themed pieces, including Layered Wood Dive Goggles, a Turtle Beach Canvas, and a Yarn Fish, resulting in colorful creations inspired by sea life. Three projects are included, all materials are provided, and advance registration is required. The fee is $55 per child. Participants who choose the full five-workshop series receive a $25 discount.
Reis Learning Center LLCCSI: Forensic Science Summer Experience
Join this free CSI-style forensic science summer experience for teens in grades 6 through 11. Activities include fingerprint analysis, impression analysis, and an introduction to serology, plus blood spatter interpretation and forgery/document detection. The program wraps up with a special mystery-solving event with Danbury officials. Registration is required, and space is limited. Teens under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Danbury Public LibraryTeen Film Club
Teens can join the Teen Film Club for a guided introduction to filmmaking, covering everything from script writing to editing. The session is led by the Brookfield Arts Commission and Film Festival, and the goal is to end the summer by creating a short microfilm.
