Bollywood Dance Classes with Qala Creations
Experience the color and rhythm of Bollywood with Qala Creations in a weekly class held in the Awakening Room. Learn high-energy choreography set to upbeat music while building cardio endurance and easing stress. Sessions are organized by age, with options for young children, preteens, and adults. Instructors Rohan Shinde and Shradha Gujar lead with a supportive approach that encourages creativity, community, and cultural exploration. Their combined backgrounds span classical and contemporary forms, creating a welcoming space for beginners and seasoned dancers alike. Participants may also take part in local showcases hosted by Qala Creations throughout the year, with costumes and gear included in class tuition. Come prepared with water, comfortable movement-ready clothing such as exercise or yoga wear, and sneakers or other supportive shoes. The class is $20 per visit, or prepay monthly at $80 for a four-week month or $100 for a five-week month. Payment is accepted in cash at the door or via Zelle to 860.278.9461 addressed to Shradha Gujar. For arrival, note that GPS directions can be unreliable. Parking and entry are behind the building. Use the gray deck entrance and turn right once inside.
Sea Glass Windows @ Audacity British Style Pub in Manchester CT Tuesday April 28th 6pm-8pm
Create a sea glass window at Audacity British Style Pub during an open-ended crafting session where you choose the design. Use provided stencils if you want extra guidance. A prepared window is included along with seashells, sand, colored glass and additional supplies, and you are welcome to bring personal items to incorporate. Instructors will support you step by step. Because the piece needs time to cure, completed artwork is collected the following day. If weather causes a change, the session may be moved or canceled, and you can attend the new date or apply your credit to another Art Lab event at any location. Materials and frame styles vary based on availability, and small imperfections such as bubbles, haze, resin seepage or shifting materials may occur. By participating, attendees agree to hold The Art Lab & Gallery harmless for any injuries during classes held on or off the premises.
