Rec on the Run- Free Arts & Crafts!
Rec on the Run brings a traveling arts and crafts experience to local neighborhoods. The mobile van features free, themed projects that change each week. A schedule outlines the weekly stops and the theme for each session, with visits rotating among Westside Oval at Mahoney Rec, Eastside Farmers Market, Northwest Park, and Charter Oak Park.

This weekly triathlon series spans ten weeks and offers two race options. The sprint course includes a quarter mile lake swim, a 5 mile mountain bike ride, and a 5k trail run. The Tiny Tri features an eighth mile lake swim, a 3 mile bike, and a 1 mile run. Series passes are available for those who want to race all ten weeks. Participants without a pass can register online each week, and onsite registration is also available. Pricing per race is $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers for the sprint, and $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers for the Tiny Tri.

Enjoy a community coffee hour on the plaza featuring complimentary coffee, lighthearted games, guest talks, music, and other simple activities. The gathering takes place at Eastside Plaza. If the weather turns bad, the event will be canceled.

Homeschool families can gather at Capital Ice Cream for a relaxed meetup focused on connection, play, and community. Kids can explore hands-on toys and activity areas, enjoy a read-aloud, and take part in both solo and group play, while caregivers meet fellow homeschoolers. Attendees may bring a lunch, drop in for a short visit or stay longer, and enjoy a setting where learning grows through friendship, imagination, and classic play.
