Two Meadow FarmTeam Captains Tournament for Vegas
This Team Captains Qualifier for Vegas is a modified single elimination tournament with an entry fee of $200 per team. The prize fund is applied equally toward travel and accommodations, and teams are responsible for any remaining costs if the fund does not cover everything. Teams may roster up to five players and can choose any three to play each match, with a combined skill level cap of 15. A player’s highest skill level between 8-Ball and 9-Ball counts toward this cap, and skill level 8s and 9s will count as 7s for this event. Only one player rated 6 or higher may play in a given match, and each player may compete on only one team. All players must be from the same League Area. Matches alternate between 8-Ball and 9-Ball racks, starting with 8-Ball, and each rack is worth one team point. The Games Must Win Chart will be used. Eligibility requirements include at least 20 scores in either 8-Ball or 9-Ball within the last two years, completion of two sessions as a Team Captain or on a standard 8-Ball, 9-Ball, or Ladies team during the 2025/2026 League Year in the area represented, at least four matches played in the Spring 2026 Session, and an active Summer Session APA roster in the 067 area. Alternate Divisions such as Aloha count as two sessions of standard play, making those Team Captains eligible.

Nurtured by the Terrapin Crossroads community, the group is known for close harmonies and songwriting that bridges roots and improvisation. Their fifth studio album, Diamonds in the Zodiac on the Americana Vibes label, continues the direction of There’s Always a Story and mixes bluegrass, country, soul, blues, funk, jazz, and gospel into a true Americana blend. Harbor ParkGreg Mendez
Space Ballroom hosts an evening with Greg Mendez, joined by Scarlet Rae, presented by Premier Concerts and Manic Presents. This all ages show centers on Mendez’s spare, incisive songwriting and his new album, Beauty Land, his debut full length for Dead Oceans. Known for turning restraint into impact, he layers concise pop melodies with bright, insistent guitars and a voice that leans toward choirlike purity. Much of Beauty Land was recorded straight to tape in a modest home studio in Philadelphia, largely self-recorded, and follows his unexpected self-titled breakthrough in 2023 after years crafting music between Philadelphia and New York. The record continues to navigate grief, love, and addiction with quiet precision, shaping dreamlike vignettes into songs that rarely reach the three minute mark. Moments stand out for their texture and turns, from the off-kilter pulse of I Wanna Feel Pretty and the chiming toy piano of Gentle Love to Mary / Dreaming, which moves from delicate fingerpicking to a warped, Beach Boys-tinged release. Stark simplicity lands hard on Looking Out Your Window with a funereal hush, as well as on Frog with its slowed-keyboard plea. There is also a brief lift when he harmonizes with his wife and bandmate, Veronica, near the close of So Mean, offering a fleeting flash of redemption within the album’s fragile world.

Aunt Chilada’s RestaurantAwakening Ayni: an Aquarian heart opening ritual
Ayni, pronounced eye-nee, is a Quechua concept of sacred reciprocity with all beings, the earth, and the cosmos. This heart-centered ceremony invites participants into a shared journey under a waning gibbous moon in Aquarius, gathering by the pool and around a sacred fire. The focus is on Aquarian air energy and its humanitarian spirit, beginning by opening the space, honoring the four directions, and inviting ancestral support while moving between the realm of Spirit and the Middle World, Kay Pacha. Energy is cleared in body and surroundings with sacred smoke, then a collective oracle reading and intention setting open the channels to Spirit. A breath-led yoga flow follows, supported by reiki, and transitions into vibrational sound healing to soften the nervous system. The experience continues with ceremonial cacao to awaken the senses and heart, along with trataka, or fire gazing, to attune the third eye. The circle gathers at the fire for drumming that mirrors the rhythm of the earth and the life force within, and for vocal expression through mantras and medicine songs, welcoming playfulness and the inner child. The gathering closes with group sharing and a formal release of the four directions, returning awareness to Kay Pacha. Suitable for beginners through advanced practitioners. The cost is $60.
