This weekend in Citrus County, FL

Sculpt & Flow Studios hosts a Pilates fundraiser at Growing Back to Eden Farm that pairs a 45 minute Pilates Sculpt class with creative pumpkin decorating in support of breast cancer awareness. Tickets are $59 and include the class, a mini pumpkin, and a decorating kit, with $29.50 from each ticket benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink and bring a mat. Materials are provided to decorate a mini pumpkin with a breast cancer awareness theme. After class, the farm market features organic produce, salad dressings, baked goods, kombucha, pickles, kimchi, bread, honey, and more. The Porch and Press food truck will be on site serving health focused dishes and drinks made with local ingredients. Food, drinks, and market purchases are sold separately.

American Legion Post 155 hosts a family-friendly Trunk or Treat that is open to everyone, featuring themed trunks, costumes, and lots of treats. Expect a festive Halloween atmosphere for all ages. Attendees can bring trick-or-treat bags.

A new Saturday evening edition brings the spirit of the longtime First Friday gathering to Town Square, reshaped for the weekend by popular demand. The experience remains familiar, with vendors, shopping, games, a variety of food trucks, and live music. A Halloween costume contest adds a festive twist, along with extra activities for both adults and kids. To avoid overlap with the city’s Stone Crab Jam presented with the Kings Bay Rotary Club, the schedule may shift by a week when necessary while keeping the same welcoming atmosphere.

After Scarecrow Fest, enjoy a free country music concert at Crystal River Town Square. The Ridge Country Band opens the show, followed by headliner the Rick Lynn Band, a hometown favorite who has returned from Nashville. Bring chairs for comfortable seating. Coolers and outside alcohol are not permitted. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from downtown businesses and on-site food vendors.

A frightfully festive night at the distillery is on tap for Halloween. Costumes are encouraged, with plenty of good times, spirits, and some playful boos for a lighthearted scare.

Crystal River’s annual Blocktoberfest brings a free fall festival packed with complimentary food, bounce houses, a climbing wall, laser tag, face painting, and sweet treats like candy, cotton candy, and popcorn, with even more to discover. Food trucks from the local community will also be on site serving attendees. Created with families in mind, this lively gathering offers activities for all ages.

This quota-style GHIN competition features a $12 entry fee. There are payouts for both the front and the back, and closest-to-the-pin prizes are included on each side. Check in at the area in front of the pro shop. Regular greens and cart fees apply.
