The focus is camaraderie and building confidence with group ride basics. Helmets are mandatory. This is not a sanctioned race or event, and participation is at your own risk. Bicycling carries inherent hazards, and any route details are offered as planning guidance only and may not be complete or current. Check conditions in advance, follow all laws and land use rules, and bring appropriate safety and navigation gear. Hosted by the City of Winter Garden, this people and pup friendly gathering offers a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Explore the artwork on a self-guided, dog friendly tour inside the gallery, keeping pups dry before heading in. Meet local artists and the four legged models that inspired their pieces. Enjoy doggie splash pads where leashes and a supervising pet parent are required, and bring a towel. Capture a keepsake at the pooch photo station, sample themed refreshments for both humans and canines, pick up dog themed giveaways while supplies last, and take part in raffle drawings for free dog themed gifts from community partners, with winners required to be present. Contribute to The Dogs of Winter Garden by bringing a photo of a present or past dog, up to 4 by 6 inches, to add to the community display. Please note that photos cannot be returned. Any leashed, vaccinated, well socialized dog three months or older is welcome, and pups are allowed inside City Hall while the exhibit is on view. Please monitor each dog’s health and behavior and attend responsibly. Created by local artists who responded to a community call, this juried exhibition celebrates local life and beloved pooches in a variety of interpretations. In Clermont/Orlando, FL, TI Senior Coach Dave Cameron leads an outdoor TI Swimming workshop centered on fundamental skills and the three TI foundations, welcoming everyone from beginners to triathletes and elite swimmers. The day starts with check-in on the pool deck, followed by an initial underwater video session and group coaching in the outdoor pool. A classroom workshop then reviews the first video, with lunch provided off-site. After a dryland review and rehearsal on deck, participants return to the pool for additional instruction. The workshop wraps up with a debrief that includes recorded analysis of a second video and recommendations uploaded.

Community Volunteer Saturday Program: Native Nuisances

Meet-and-Greet Adorable Adoptables at Petco

This event at the new Petco store in Clermont features a meet-and-greet with a few of The Animal League’s adoptable dogs. Volunteers will be available to discuss adoption, volunteer opportunities, fostering, donating, and other ways to help The Animal League. If you connect with a pet from this location, The Animal League uses a best match approach to pair animals with the right homes, and the process begins with an adoption application. Cats housed at the store can be viewed during normal operating hours, but Petco staff cannot accommodate handling, so contact the adoption team to arrange a time to meet a specific cat. Donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the adoption center, the thrift store, or the wellness center.

Activities emphasize communication, confidence building, collaboration, critical thinking, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking, with practical learning connected to the real world. Students also have opportunities to form friendships and strengthen social skills. Space is still available.
