After arrival, participants get comfortable and sighted in at the rifle range, enjoy a light lunch, and have time to relax or explore the property. If timing allows, a guided ride around the ranch may precede the evening hunt. Each hunter heads out with an experienced guide, with options that may include blinds, tree stands, or spot and stalk. Following the hunt, hands-on instruction covers skinning and quartering. Hogs can be taken home for processing or handled through the ranch, with finished meat available for later pickup or shipment. Processing and shipping are not included in the hunt price. Dinner is served after the hunt, and hunting may continue into the evening if needed. The night wraps up by the bonfire with cocktails and stories under the stars, followed by a continental breakfast. The package includes lodging, a light lunch, dinner, continental breakfast, drinks, professional photos, rifle range access, an FGHC camo shirt in fitted or loose style, and one hog. Younger athletes can warm up before the 5K with a half mile run for ages 6 to 11 or a shorter dash for children 5 and under. All children must register in advance and complete an online waiver, and youth shirts are available for an additional fee. Registration will close on race day.

Other choices include the GFT Sprint Triathlon, individual duathlon and aquabike events, relay options, and an aquathlon. For runners, the schedule features the Floridian 15K and a 5K run and walk. Recognized as the championship event of the 2026 Clermont Running & Triathlon Series and the final triathlon of the year in Clermont, it offers a fitting conclusion to the racing season.

Thrive Clermont presents a one-of-a-kind stage show and art exhibit in partnership with the City of Clermont and Landi-Lou Talent Agency at the Clermont Performing Arts Center on the Main Stage. The Teens Got Talent Showcase celebrates the creativity of Lake County students with a live variety show and a curated student art exhibit. Talents span singing, dancing, instrumental performance, spoken word, comedy, magic, and other unique acts. Up to twelve acts will perform before an audience of more than 700, with participants receiving professional support from Landi-Lou Talent Agency that includes stage coaching, professional headshots, and hair and makeup services for the show. The virtual audition process is open to Lake County students ages 13 to 18, and individuals or groups of two to five submit an online application with a performance video for consideration. Local high school art teachers are invited to curate exhibit tables featuring outstanding teen artists from their schools. Designed to uplift young performers and creators, the showcase offers a platform to share skills, build confidence, connect with peers, and gain mentorship from professionals in the arts and entertainment industries.

Experience a nighttime jack o lantern hike along the Glow Trail at Oakland Nature Preserve, where paths are illuminated by pumpkins carved by community members for a magical walk after dark. This program spans two nights, welcomes costumes, offers candy bags for kids, and includes chances to see some critters. For everyone’s safety, pets are not permitted due to resident wildlife such as bobcats and coyotes. Parking is available along the driveway, outside the gate, and at Family Christian School, and carpooling is encouraged. Those who would like to contribute can register to donate a pumpkin. There will also be an evening porch carving opportunity with a greeting from Ambassador Salamander Dart. Admission will be ticketed this year, with additional details to be shared in late summer.

Returning for its second year in Clermont, Cosmic Pageants’ Halloween Spooktacular offers a family-friendly day of pageantry with a spirited Halloween theme. Attendees can secure participation with a $50 deposit, and early bird pricing is available for a limited time. The event welcomes both new and returning Cosmic families for a festive experience filled with seasonal flair and lasting memories.

At the new Petco in Clermont, meet a few adoptable cats from The Animal League while Team Meow volunteers host friendly meet and greets. Chat with the team about fostering opportunities and learn how the organization’s best match approach helps pair each cat with the right home, beginning with an adoption application. Adoptable cats can be viewed during store hours, however Petco staff cannot arrange petting or holding, so appointments with The Animal League’s adoption team are required to meet specific cats housed at Petco Clermont.
