Quarter Paddle Auction

Enjoy a lively paddle auction where bidding meets a bit of luck. Paddles cost $3 apiece, and participants may purchase one or four. Place a bid, then if the number on your paddle matches the number drawn from the bucket, you win a prize. Guidance is provided for anyone new to the game, and winners can swap or barter for items. Donations of new or nearly new, gently used items are welcome, making it easy to clear out storage while supporting meaningful causes. Proceeds benefit Cats Amore cat shelter as well as the Veteran Service Officer Fund. Dawn Mathison runs the event and partners with pet stores in Lake City to re-home community cats, ensuring they are healthy, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. The Service Officer Fund assists veterans and their families in Columbia County with essentials like food, temporary shelter, fuel, and other support while they work toward stable housing. For information about the fund or Cats Amore, contact Kelly Valliere, Membership Chair at the post.
