Keegan Neely Senior Bassoon Recital

Keegan Neely presents a senior bassoon recital at Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall. Admission is free and all are welcome. A Portland, Oregon native and Amerindian musician, Neely began music studies at 15. As a high school senior he performed with the National Youth Orchestra, appearing at venues such as Carnegie Hall, KKL Luzern, the Berlin Konzerthaus, and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw. He has worked with Carin Miller of the Oregon Symphony and is pursuing a Bachelor of Music at Lynn in the studio of Whitney Crockett. His training includes masterclasses with Gustavo Núñez, Monica Ellis, Judith LeClair, Julia Lockhart, and Luciano Magnanini. Away from the stage he enjoys making reeds, learning about urban design, and supporting ecological conservation in the Pacific Northwest.

Their resume includes appearances with Legends in Concert, Live Nation, and SeaWorld, plus performances at the Straz Center in Tampa, Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, and the Red Skelton Theater, as well as a private island wedding.
