Built on a proven health equity model, the event supports Florida residents with or without insurance. Uninsured Florida residents may qualify if they live in the state, do not have health insurance, have not had a mammogram within the past year, are between 40 and 64 years old, or are under 40 with a first degree family history of breast cancer or symptoms, and have a household income at or below 200 percent of the poverty level. Women of any age who have completed treatment for breast cancer may also be eligible. Insured Florida residents who have not had a mammogram within a year can schedule through 3D MammoLink. Those at average risk should begin screening at age 40, and most health insurance plans cover screening mammograms with no out of pocket cost. As a bonus, anyone who schedules, keeps the appointment, and completes a virtual breast health session will receive a free gift card. Space is limited, and preregistration is available to secure an appointment.
