Extra Life Tabletop Night for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital

CSG Hollywood hosts a special tabletop night in partnership with Extra Life to benefit Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, featuring a full slate of gaming, tournaments, and prizes. All proceeds from the day’s Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic: The Gathering events will be donated to Extra Life. Additional donations can be made through QR codes available in-store and online. During the official event, top donors will be recognized and can receive prizes that include trading card game accessories and sealed product, with a grand prize Nintendo Switch 2. The second place donor may choose a sealed box of Yu-Gi-Oh! Rarity Collection 5 or a sealed Secrets of Strixhaven Commander preconstructed set. The third place donor may choose a Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic: The Gathering accessory set that includes sleeves, a deck box, and a play mat. A Super Booth will also be on site buying and selling singles that are not typically available at the physical store locations. Event policies will be in effect. Players may call a judge at any time for rules clarifications, though judges will not provide strategic advice. Trading is allowed within store policy, but buying or selling with anyone other than Cool Stuff Games staff is prohibited and may result in removal or a ban. The store may limit the space used for trading and does not permit suitcases, handcarts, luggage carts, or similar items for transporting large amounts of trade stock. Food and drink must be kept off tables except where posted otherwise, and horseplay, roughhousing, discourteous behavior, and foul language are not permitted. Expect an accessible sequence that steadies body and mind, accompanied by the sound of the waves, soft light, and the calm of early hours. The session is led by Claudia Vasconcelos, who has practiced meditation and yoga since 1998. She earned massage therapy certification before beginning her yoga path, later completed Clinical Ayurveda Specialist training through the California College of Ayurveda, and finished a 500-hour teacher training at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco in 2006, after which she began teaching. In 2008 she studied in India with B.K.S. Iyengar and his family, an experience that deepened her commitment to yoga as a lifelong practice. She is certified by Elise Browning Miller as a Yoga for Scoliosis and Back Care Specialist and holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Brazil. Her intention is for students to leave feeling refreshed, with body, mind, and spirit integrated, and she emphasizes self observation and mindful presence throughout. The cost is $15 per person, and the session lasts 1 hour.

Ocean Cleanup Dive

Divers are coming together for an underwater cleanup focused on removing debris and protecting marine life. This conservation-focused dive offers a meaningful way to give back alongside a supportive community. Capacity is capped at 16 divers. Healthy Kids Running Series Spring 2026

Healthy Kids Running Series brings a five week youth running program to Davie for children from Pre-K through 8th grade. At Vista View Park, participants meet once a week for age-appropriate races that include 50 and 75 yard dashes along with quarter mile, half mile, and one mile distances. Runners earn points based on their finish in each race throughout the Series. The registration fee covers all five weeks and includes a race bib each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal, and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable, and online Early Bird pricing increases three weeks before the first race. The Series also includes a Challenger Division, an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and special needs, where parents, siblings, and friends can provide on-course support and participants may use supportive devices such as crutches, braces, or wheelchairs.

A free presentation shines a spotlight on Florida’s burrowing owls, featuring an in-depth discussion led by Paul Kragh, Director of Burrowing Owl Conservation for Project Perch Inc. The talk covers essential biology and behavior, including how these owls developed a rattlesnake-like mimicry and what makes this raptor so compelling. Two taxidermy owls will be on display. Project Perch Inc. is a volunteer-run nonprofit focused on protecting this tiny subterranean species, and Paul is recognized by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as a registered agent for the Florida burrowing owl. Guitarist Wesley B. Wright, the original guitarist for Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine, holds three gold albums and two double platinum albums. Bassist Michael Washington has performed with James Brown, The Temptations, Sly Stone and The O’Jays, and one of the band’s keyboardists has played with The Guess Who, Three Dog Night, Los Lobos and John Secada. The set spans classic rock, disco, pop, Motown, R&B and dance favorites from the 60s, 70s and 80s along with modern rock and pop, including songs by The Beatles, Journey and Steppenwolf.
