Homestead-Miami Speedway created Fast Lane Friday as a safe, lawful outlet in response to illegal street racing on South Florida roads. The event welcomes car enthusiasts who are at least 18 and can present a valid driver’s license along with documentation of registration and insurance. Participants run their street-legal vehicles on the drag strip and aim for their quickest times against other drivers. Spectators can watch the action. The schedule may change.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital will bring the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel MammoVan to provide screening mammograms by appointment. Annual screenings are covered for people 40 and older. Each visit includes a breast cancer risk assessment, heart health information, and support in arranging follow-up care if results are abnormal. Please bring a valid ID, your insurance card, and copies of any previous mammograms completed at other facilities. Results will be available within three business days. A complimentary gift comes with each mammogram appointment. No-cost screenings are offered for patients without insurance, and more information is available by calling 561-955-2731.
