đź“° In the news
Leisure travel demand takes flight: Allegiant Air is set to launch nonstop flights between Columbus, Ohio and Key West on May 21, 2026, easing travel for Ohio visitors and locals planning family trips — get all the route details.
Islamorada pipeline overhaul progresses: FKAA’s water main work is in Tavernier, closing one U.S. 1 lane and slowing afternoon traffic. Some left turn restrictions continue through March, with completion now expected in April — see where delays are expected.
Signature fundraiser powers scholarships: CFK Foundation’s 60th Anniversary Seaside SoirĂ©e bidding is open, with travel adventures, dining, and art, plus a virtual auction for all and options to buy tickets or sponsor in Islamorada — see how to get involved.
Nothing prepares you for a pet emergency: I learned that the hard way after charging $10k to a credit card for life-saving surgery on my cat, Miss Stache. As soon as we got home, I signed up for Spot. It’s super affordable – and reimburses up to 90% of the bill.

🏆 Gold and silver are heating up
Together with our sponsor American Hartford Gold
Gold just posted its strongest run in decades… and the momentum is carrying into 2026. Silver has become one of the most talked-about assets as investors look for ways to stay ahead of market volatility.
While many are still sitting on the sidelines, others are quietly repositioning.
If you’re wondering whether you’re missing something, AHG has a free guide explaining what’s driving the renewed interest… and how investors are approaching precious metals right now.
It’s free and worth reading before the next move.

🫶 We got your back
Glow-up, island-style: If your face is still negotiating with yesterday’s sun, Key West Aloe brings aloe-rich skincare, reef-safe sunscreen, and the beloved Save A Tan after-sun lotion, made with high-grade aloe, so your routine feels a little more island… and a lot more chill.
Wing night, sorted: Whether you crave saucy, crispy wings without the fuss, Island Dogs Bar makes it easy. Casual, breezy, and reliably tasty, it’s prime for meeting a friend, catching live music, and turning midweek into a ritual. The chill local hangout vibe stays strong while the wings keep coming.
Aim past the mangroves: Whether you’re after a breezy quick nine or revenge on the Mangrove Hole, Key West Golf Club makes island golf playful and deceptively tough. Bring a friend, keep the plaid respectable, and let the trade winds test your shot shape and your sense of humor.
Thinning hair? It only gets worse: A few months ago, I noticed my ponytail getting thinner. I tried the usual stuff (biotin, shampoo, etc.) but mostly just hoped it would fix itself… until I learned that active follicles can permanently go dormant if you don’t do something about it. The good news? You can get treatment that actually works with no office visits or trips to the pharmacy. Learn more about my favorite online options here.

It may feel like an invasion of privacy, but unfortunately It’s the new normal. Whether you’re joining a committee, selling something locally, dating again, or just meeting new neighbors… people are going to look you up online.
Like it or not, the internet has a way of surfacing past mistakes and outdated information that no longer reflects who you are.

This house is wild
In Casa Marina, this Key West compound was Ernest Hemingway’s winter retreat in 1928 and 1929 while writing A Farewell to Arms. On an 8,100 sq ft corner lot, it blends Savannah brick charm with tall ceilings, fireplace, and sliding doors to a heated pool. A 3/2 main house pairs with a conch-style 1/1 guesthouse with separate Walton Street access.
