    The Science of Ecstasy

Soham Yoga, 1241 N State Road 7, Royal Palm Beach
    Free

Experience a free, one-hour live masterclass with an experiential segment focused on resetting your stress baseline through a practical cycle of movement, breathing, and stillness. Instead of forcing quiet, which a highly activated body often resists, you will explore how unstructured, rhythmic somatic movement can signal the brain to release excess adrenaline, soften protective tension, and ready the body for deep rest. The session explains how specific, continuous breathing patterns influence blood oxygenation, calm the brain’s Default Mode Network that fuels overthinking, and stimulate natural endorphins and dopamine. It also frames stillness as a high level physiological state, mapping the process of guiding brainwaves into alpha and theta ranges associated with cellular recovery, deep emotional processing, and a steadier sense of peace. You will examine the difference between short-lived state changes and genuine baseline upgrades in the nervous system, aiming to move beyond temporary fixes. A guided 15-minute practice in breath and quiet is included to help shift stress into clarity right away.
