The Battle of Shallowford (June 4 - June 21)

Centered on the chaos triggered by a fake radio report, this suspenseful play follows a quiet American town as anxiety mounts. Gossip swells into alarm, and everyday neighbors start doubting each other, bringing buried prejudice and wounded pride into the open. The production pairs taut tension with pointed social reflection, asking how swiftly fear can drown out reason. It considers the strain placed on a community when facts grow fuzzy, trust frays, and uncertainty takes control.

Sunset River Jazz Cruise

An adults-only river cruise along the waterways of St. Augustine pairs live jazz with artisanal charcuterie, a complimentary glass of boutique wine, and scenic views for a relaxing two-hour experience. The music comes from HighTide Players, blending jazz standards with classic favorites that invite a toe tap. Guitarist Bill Vasileff began on piano at age seven, took up guitar in high school, studied jazz at the Loyola College of Music in New Orleans, and spent a decade collaborating with accomplished musicians before returning to Jacksonville to perform at a variety of events while focusing on teaching and creating music. Percussionist Kevin Bachman, also known as K2, brings more than 35 years of experience that started in a high school garage band in Cincinnati and continued through clubs, bars, and events across Ohio and Florida, with tastes that range from Miles Davis to the Grateful Dead. Together they deliver a fluent style shaped by creative melodies.
