The book follows Eleanor Bell, a widow turning sixty-nine who feels early signs of dementia and decides to reclaim the parts of herself set aside for marriage and motherhood. She slips away to the Newport Pop Festival, takes the open mic, then catches a ride on a tour bus bound for Woodstock. Her daughter Leanne and granddaughter Nora set off on a cross-country search, and as Eleanor gains unexpected attention as the “Dame of Rock and Roll,” all three women confront questions of identity, independence, love, and the dreams that were postponed. The story blends the pulse of late sixties music with a family’s journey toward self-discovery and renewal. Eliza Knight is an award-winning, internationally bestselling author of numerous novels. She created the History Undressed blog, co-hosts the History, Books and Wine podcast, holds an MFA in creative writing from Drexel University, and teaches writing. Joining the discussion is Mary Ann Lindley, a longtime newspaper columnist recognized for coverage of Florida politics, community issues, and American culture. Her career includes leading the New York Times’ Florida capital bureau, serving as a state news editor at The Miami Herald, and chairing the editorial board of the Tallahassee Democrat. She later served on the Leon County Commission and returned to writing with her book Fragments.

Ride Series: Munson Monday - 2 options!
Community volunteers lead a weekly intermediate, no-drop ride that brings riders together for a fun, supportive outing. Choose between two start options. The 8 mile option departs from the Munson Trailhead parking area and zips along red clay that rides like a roller coaster... expect a range of speeds with frequent regrouping so nobody is left behind. All are welcome. During daylight saving time, lights are required. Participants are asked to complete the 2025 TMBA Waiver, which is required for all TMBA events.
