Camp registration is open at the Tallahassee Museum for a season of hands-on learning and fun. Led by museum educators, each day blends creativity, teamwork, problem solving, and communication with experiences that range from wildlife encounters to explorations of cultural heritage. Tree to Tree Adventures are woven into the curriculum for many ages. Families should register children for the grade they will enter in the upcoming school year. A preschool option welcomes ages 3 to 5 who are fully potty trained, including those headed into VPK or kindergarten. Registration is first come, first served and early sign-up is encouraged. Fees vary by grade level. Rising 1st and 2nd graders are $240 for members or $250 for nonmembers. Rising 3rd graders are $290 for members or $300 for nonmembers and enjoy field trips during the week. Rising 4th and 5th graders are $290 for members or $300 for nonmembers and also take part in field trips. The Jr. Counselor-in-Training option for rising 6th through 8th graders is $90 for members or $100 for nonmembers. Jr. CITs assist teachers while remaining campers and are supervised at all times. A Counselor-in-Training program is available for high school students in rising 9th through 12th grades. Extended care is offered for an additional $10 per day or $50 per week, and late pickups incur a $1 per minute charge. If a session is full, email registrations@tallahasseemuseum.org to request a place on the waiting list and include your camper’s name, your name, grade, preferred week, and a good email address. One schedule change is permitted in advance. Additional or late changes carry a $25 administrative fee, and incorrect registrations also incur a $25 fee. Tallahassee MuseumRide Series: Munson Monday - 2 options!
Community volunteers lead a weekly intermediate, no-drop ride focused on a friendly group experience. Riders can choose between two options. One route covers about 22 miles, rolling out from the big oak by the Edison at Cascades Park and holding a steady 14 mph on pavement until the Munson trailhead, with the return left unpaced. The other route is roughly 8 miles from the Munson Trailhead parking area on fast red clay, with mixed speeds and frequent regrouping to keep everyone together. Everyone is welcome. Lights are required during daylight saving time. The 2025 TMBA waiver covers participants for the entire year and is required for all TMBA events.

Wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty, apply tick repellent and sunscreen, and bring water and easy-to-carry snacks, a hydration pack works well. Wednesday New Works Night
A weekly creative development gathering welcomes writers, playwrights, actors, and anyone exploring new work. It starts with a quiet session for focused writing and creative projects in a supportive setting, where participants can bring a laptop, notebook, script, manuscript, poetry, or prose. The session then shifts to informal cold readings of new material created or developed by attendees, with actors reading scenes, monologues, and other performance-focused pieces. Writers who participate in the writing block may sign up at the start for readings, first come, first served, with up to five pieces and brief excerpts. Taking part in readings is optional. Actors are encouraged to attend the reading portion with no preparation needed and may be asked to read selections provided by the writers present. The atmosphere is low pressure and collaborative, with special emphasis on playwriting and work intended for performance. This event takes place at the Student Services Building (SSB).

Sue Boyd’s Country Western and More dance instruction is offered at American Legion Sauls-Bridges Post 13 with three skill levels available. The beginner class focuses on Two Step and East Coast Swing. The intermediate class highlights Cha Cha and Triple Two. The advanced segment features NC2 and is designed for experienced social dancers or competitors who are solid with rhythm, timing, connection, leading and following, and who are comfortable with multiple turns and more intricate leads without losing track of patterns or timing. Participants can choose to extend the route or turn back early as needed. The focus is on learning the trails and building confidence on the bike. Please arrive with a bike in good working order. If a tune-up is needed, consider visiting The Great Bicycle Shop, Trek, or Epic Bikes. Helmets are required. Bring snacks and water, and consider bug spray and sunscreen. Community volunteers lead a weekly intermediate, no-drop ride that brings riders together for a fun, supportive outing. Choose between two start options. The 22 mile route rolls out from the big oak by the Edison in Cascades Park and holds about a 14 mph pace on pavement until reaching the Munson trailhead, with an unpaced return. The 8 mile option departs from the Munson Trailhead parking area and zips along red clay that rides like a roller coaster... expect a range of speeds with frequent regrouping so nobody is left behind. All are welcome. During daylight saving time, lights are required. Participants are asked to complete the 2025 TMBA Waiver, which is required for all TMBA events.
