Uppy Powers: The Pup Who Scrooged Me brings a themed UpDog disc dog weekend to The Brightside - Dog Training & Boarding, presented by FCSD. Multiple rounds are offered across all games, with Open and Advanced divisions and awards for the top three in each game based on first round results. Level 2 and Pairs games are not included in podiums unless there are at least three handlers in a game. Player packs and themed goodies are available for pre-registered and prepaid participants.
All games are available at Level 1 and Level 2 for qualified teams. Each dog is limited to 10 total rounds and no more than 3 rounds per game per day under UpDog rules. The event caps total rounds at 130 per day, and runs are secured only after registration and payment, with entries subject to closing early if the cap is reached.
Newcomers can take part in free try-it rounds, limited to one per game. Beginner friendly choices are Frizgility, Time Warp, 4 Way Play, Spaced Out, and Throw N Go.
The lineup will be played in order and includes Frizgility, FunKey, 7UP, Freestyle Performance, Time Warp, 4 Way Play with Pairs, Spaced Out, Fireball, Greedy, Freestyle Criterion, Throw N Go with Pairs, Boom, and Far Out.
Pricing is 13 dollars per game, 60 dollars for a five game pass, and 110 dollars for a ten game pass. Passes can be used by the same handler for multiple dogs, but cannot be shared between different handlers.
Payment is requested through PayPal using the friends and family option, and rounds are not guaranteed until payment is received. Venmo is not accepted. The refund policy provides a full refund when canceling two or more weeks out, a 50 percent refund when canceling 8 to 14 days out, and no refund within 7 days.
Bring dog safe discs without holes and avoid discs made with potentially harmful plastics, as most disc golf discs are not suitable. If you have a question about a particular disc such as the ChuckIt Zipflight, check with the organizers.
To support a broad podium, if a handler places more than once in the top three of the same game with different dogs, only one top three award may be claimed in that game and placements roll down. All points still count toward UpDIF and UpDog achievements.
