The Position of Relief: Gentle Reset for Low Back and Hips
The low back and hips play a key role in supporting the body and guiding everyday movement. When strain or imbalance develops in this area, the nervous system may adopt protective patterns that make motion feel tight or uncomfortable. This class introduces the Position of Relief method, a gentle way of placing the body so stress is reduced and the nervous system can ease its guard. Instead of forcing change, the approach allows muscles to release naturally, offering the body a chance to reset with greater comfort and ease. Participants learn specific positions for the low back and hips to calm overactive muscles, decrease discomfort, and promote steadier, more balanced movement. Through careful positioning, hands-on guidance, and straightforward strategies for integrating the work, the focus is on shifting out of protective holding and toward stability. Designed for therapists who work with clients experiencing low back tension, hip discomfort, or movement guarding, this course provides practical tools that support lasting change without strain.
