Pups get their own day in the water at the Cherokee County Aquatic Center, with The Oasis, the outdoor waterpark and beach, reserved for canine splash time. The area is fully fenced, and admission is $12 per dog. To keep everyone comfortable, there are separate swim sessions for small and large dogs. Current vaccinations for Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies are required, and dogs must be spayed or neutered. Each handler may bring up to two dogs. People are not permitted to swim with the animals, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. All dogs participate at their owner’s risk.

Complimentary nail trims are available for cats and dogs at a donation based event that supports rescue cats through Keys Kitten Rescue. A waiver is required before services. There is no purchase required, and contributions are appreciated to help the rescue.

Minis at The Mill is a free, outdoor gathering for kids on the Green at The Mill on Etowah. Geared toward ages 2 to 5 and open to all ages, each session is hosted by a different community partner with activities that can include crafts, movement, story time, interactive play, and hands-on fun. This session features the Cherokee Soccer Association. Since it takes place outside, attendees can bring a blanket, snacks, and anything that helps make the outing easier.

A weekly Kids Club at Halcyon welcomes preschoolers and their caregivers for playful learning and discovery. Attendance is free and no sign up is required. A feature-packed mobile game theater from Ultimate Mobile Gaming rolls into Brookfield Country Club for Family Game Fest Wednesdays, offering play on the latest consoles, including PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. The game library spans fast-paced hits like Call of Duty and Fortnite, family favorites such as Super Mario Bros and Roblox, and plenty of sports and racing titles, so players of different tastes can team up or face off for friendly competition. Children ages 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the Game Theater, TV screens should not be touched, and controllers should be handled with care.
