Since then they have toured across the United States and Europe and spent long hours back in their New Orleans studio, rolling out new singles and seeing swift growth on Spotify. Raised in Atlanta, Tyler Neal channels the spirit of the South with a sound rooted in warmth and authenticity. Once a protégé of Col. Bruce, he has forged his own reputation. His shows focus on connection and shared joy, using live music to bring people together, and he treats his craft as a form of devotion that reaches toward something higher.

Restrooms and parking are available at the aquatic center near the park, and participants are encouraged to use those facilities or the convenience store across the street. Please keep the grounds clean, and note that unclaimed clothing or towels will not be kept. Play uses a standard doubles court, which is smaller than full size. Each side is allowed up to three contacts. No open-hand tips are permitted, so use knuckles or a closed fist. A block counts as a touch, and the blocking team then has two more contacts. If a hand-set ball is on the plane of the net and the opponent contacts it first, that is illegal. Setting must be clean with no prolonged lifts or double contacts at the referee’s discretion. One-hand sets are allowed only if the ball stays on your side, and if it crosses the plane the rally is over. Open-hand first contacts must be clean unless the ball is hard driven, and using open hands on serve receive is not allowed. Setting the ball over the net is prohibited. Any contact with the net is a fault, foot faults will be called, and center line violations are enforced with safety in mind at the referee’s discretion. Pursuing a ball onto another court is not allowed, and the rally ends the moment a player steps onto a different court even if it is not in use. Rosters are strict. Substitutions are not permitted. Teams must match the roster listed on VolleyballLife or they will be disqualified. If changes are needed, contact the organizer before tournament day to be placed in the appropriate division. If playoffs have not started, a team may relinquish its spot to the next available team. Playing with a substitute is allowed only if you accept a forfeit for that match. Competitive integrity is emphasized. Sandbagging will not be allowed. If any team member has won a tournament in an A or BB division this year, that team will be moved up, and winners of BB or A will be placed in A/Open regardless of format. Enter according to the stronger player on your team. Current or former college athletes are placed in the highest division. Payouts are based on a percentage of total entries in each division after payment portal fees and sales tax. For questions, reach out to the organizer via Instagram or the event page.

Viking Alchemist MeaderyWCG BeybladeX 3Deck Tournament! June 28th
Let it rip at a BeybladeX 3Deck tournament featuring the 3v3 Deck Counter Battle format. Each blader builds a deck of up to three Beys, reveals the deck to the opponent before the first battle, then secretly selects the opening Bey. After that first reveal, both decks must remain visible throughout the match. After every battle, the loser chooses either a rematch or a counter. A rematch uses the same Beys and launchers without adjustment and does not change the previous result. If a counter is chosen, the previous winner presents any Bey from their deck, then the previous loser selects and presents theirs. Swiss rounds play to 5 points, with Top Cut battles to 7 points. Entry is $10, and prize support is a percentage to Top Cut based on attendance. Deck building and equipment rules apply. Do not repeat parts within a deck. Takara Tomy and Hasbro Beys are legal, and Takara Tomy stadiums will be used. Anyone who brings a good condition Takara Tomy stadium for tournament use receives a free $1 drink. For match procedure, the B and X side is randomly selected at the start of the match, then after every successful launch the loser chooses the side. The No-Contact Rule is in effect, so a no-contact burst or pocket results in a relaunch. No sniping is allowed, so mid-air contact leads to a relaunch. A launch that lands on the shroud also calls for a relaunch. Burst takes priority, meaning if a burst would also have caused the opponent to be pocketed, the burst result stands rather than the pocket. Metal Needle tips are not permitted.

Spin into a head-to-head Beyblade tournament with a $10 entry. The competition uses a 1v1 format where each blader commits to a single bey for the entire run. Swiss stage matches are played to 5 points and the Top Cut matches are played to 7 points. Prizing is distributed as a percentage to the Top Cut and scales with attendance. Takara Tomy and Hasbro beys are permitted, and battles take place in Takara Tomy stadiums. Bringing a tournament-ready Takara Tomy stadium in good condition earns a complimentary $1 drink for the contributor. Match procedures and rulings include random assignment of B and X sides at the start of each match, with the loser of every successful launch choosing sides thereafter. The No-Contact Rule is in effect, so a no-contact burst or pocket triggers a relaunch. Mid-air contact is not allowed and results in a relaunch. A launch that lands on the shroud also requires a relaunch. Burst outcomes take priority over pockets, meaning if a burst would coincide with the opponent being pocketed, the burst is the final result. Metal Needle tips are not allowed.

GPG: Good Times Bad Times - The Led Zeppelin Experience
The sound and spirit of Led Zeppelin take center stage as Good Times/Bad Times recreates the band’s seismic impact with faithful detail and high-voltage performance. Thunderous drums drive staples like When the Levee Breaks, Immigrant Song, and Moby Dick, while towering guitar riffs power Kashmir, Ramble On, and Stairway to Heaven. Soaring vocals and a tight rhythm section capture the raw intensity of the originals, moving from the deep blues of Since I’ve Been Loving You to the explosive force of Whole Lotta Love and Rock and Roll. It is a vibrant salute to music that reshaped rock history. The Georgia Players Guild is known for tributes that honor music legends with care and authenticity. Since 2014 they have delivered hundreds of performances across more than 30 productions, celebrating over fifty years of iconic songs and striving to make each show feel true to the source. That variety makes it tough for the same group to win repeatedly. Friends and coworkers can form teams of any size, compare their guesses to what most people said, and see whose instincts line up with the top answers.

Timbers TavernJazz at The Strand: The Music of Dave Brubeck
Featuring selections from Dave Brubeck’s landmark album Time Out, this show spotlights music from one of the best-selling jazz recordings ever and reflects on the courageous steps Brubeck took during the Civil Rights era. The Jazz Legacy Project was founded in 2015 after Justin Varnes reimagined his Jazz History teaching at Georgia State University by replacing a traditional textbook with records and stories. That idea evolved into performances interwoven with narrative, shaped during an ongoing residency at the Velvet Note in Atlanta that has sold out for years. The approach offers insight into what to listen for in jazz and connects the music to American history, showing how cultural shifts have influenced new movements in the art form.
Earl and Rachel Smith Strand TheatreThe Doom of Oryyx II: A Horus Heresy Narrative Event (Part 4)
The war for Orryx-II reaches its breaking point as shattered front lines and awakened vault guardians leave the world reeling. With the Traitors seizing the upper hand, Archmagos Vaardus Augustian has retreated to the Central Forge and opened a hidden vault at its heart, unleashing a spreading disturbance that stains the skies and haunts astropaths with visions of catastrophe. A deep, relentless pulse now thrums beneath the forges, hinting at something ancient stirring below. The Loyalists gather for a final, all-or-nothing strike against Augustian and the horror he has unleashed, while the Traitors rally to crush the last resistance and claim the forge world in the name of the Warmaster or their own designs. The fate of Orryx-II will be settled in fire, steel, and sacrifice. This concluding chapter of a Warhammer: The Horus Heresy 3rd Edition narrative campaign unfolds as an Apocalypse-style mega-battle fought across multiple tables over a single day, pitting Loyalist and Traitor players against one another to determine the world’s destiny. Any faction may take part, and prior attendance is not required. Army lists are limited to 3,000 points with no named characters. The focus is on relaxed, story-driven play, so thematic forces are encouraged to help shape an epic conclusion. A $10 entry fee supports the venue and prize support, with recognition for best painted character as well as the most successful commanders leading the Loyalist and Traitor forces.
