Breast Cancer Screening at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta

City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta is offering a dedicated breast cancer screening opportunity featuring advanced imaging and supportive resources. Among women in the United States, breast cancer is the second most frequently diagnosed cancer after skin cancer. Roughly one in eight women who reach age 80 will be affected, and it accounts for about 30 percent of new cancer diagnoses in women each year. The center’s specialists are equipped to evaluate and diagnose promptly. Screenings use 3D digital breast tomosynthesis mammography and include take-home educational materials. Most insurance plans are accepted. For those without insurance, the cost is $99 for this event. A physician referral is not required. All appointments depend on meeting clinical criteria, and participants must have a doctor who can receive the screening results. Registration is required. Breast Cancer Screening at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta

Breast cancer screening appointments are available at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta, featuring 3D digital breast tomosynthesis mammograms and take-home educational materials. Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer among U.S. women after skin cancer, affecting one in eight who live to age 80 and accounting for 30 percent of new female cancers each year. Most insurance plans are accepted, and those without insurance can access an event-only price of $99. No physician referral is required to schedule. All appointments are dependent on meeting clinical requirements, and each participant must have a doctor to receive the screening results. Part two of the Jazz in the Park series spotlights Billie Holiday through the Jazz Legacy Project with featured vocalist and actor Maria Howell. Drummer Justin Varnes leads an ensemble that presents engaging performances designed to bring casual jazz listeners into the music and minds of influential American artists, with Holiday’s legacy at the center. Howell’s singing career grew after her role as the choir soloist in The Color Purple, and she has performed alongside Nancy Wilson, George Benson, Ray Charles, Earl Klugh, and Ronnie Laws. College Football Kickoff Breakfast

Marking fifteen years, the Tony Barnhart College Football Kickoff Breakfast is a long-standing Coweta County tradition that regularly sells out and benefits Coweta Samaritan Clinic. The program features Tony Barnhart, "Mr. College Football," who retired from sports media after a 50-year career and still keeps his annual visit to Newnan and the clinic. As he now accepts only a small number of speaking engagements, this is one of the rare chances to hear his preseason outlook in person. Expect insights on SEC storylines, coaching changes, playoff contenders, and championship predictions. The event combines football conversation with fellowship and philanthropy, and ticket purchases support the clinic’s mission to provide compassionate healthcare to uninsured adults in the community. Seating is limited.

The Vibrant Living Expo celebrates active older adults with a free gathering designed for adults 55 and up, along with their families and caregivers. Early arrivals can look for a swag bag and T-shirt for the first 200 attendees. Highlights include bingo with prizes, complimentary brunch, and relaxing chair massages. Guidance on financial and estate planning is offered, along with assisted living and caregiver resources.
