Ada Hayden HeritageSpring Carnival Fundraiser
Scott Amusements LLC brings a Spring Carnival Fundraiser to the Boone County Fairgrounds with rides, fair food, a dunk tank featuring ISU students, and a gala gift basket auction. Admission is $10 per person and includes five ride tickets, with additional tickets and food available for purchase. The fundraiser supports expanding the barn to help the farm school and ABA therapy serve more children on their waiting list, benefiting families living with autism and varied abilities. Many employers offer donation matching, which can increase the impact of a gift.
Boone County FairgroundsPokémon Club
School-aged Pokémon fans can learn the Pokémon Trading Card Game and take part in matches using library-provided decks. Personal decks are welcome for discussion and strategy sharing, however card trading is not allowed. Participation is flexible. Watch others play, enjoy Pokémon art activities, chat with peers, and help build a supportive community of friends. Children age 8 and under must attend with a caregiver. Caregivers who are new to Pokémon can learn alongside their kids. Supported by the Ames Public Library Friends Foundation.
Ames Public LibraryAmes Piano Quartet
The Ames Piano Quartet performs Gabriel Fauré’s Piano Quartet in G minor and Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet. A celebration honoring cellist George Work’s retirement follows the concert. A livestream will be available.
