INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED WHEEL THROWING (Art Class)
Designed for potters who are already confident with wedging, centering, and throwing a cylinder, this intermediate and advanced class focuses on strengthening wheel techniques and refining glazing methods. Expect guided demonstrations, thoughtful critique, and steady encouragement as you build on your existing skills. Tuition includes the use of studio equipment and tools, 25 pounds of clay, glazes, firings, and open studio access. The course runs for eight sessions and welcomes high school students and adults. If you are unsure about your level, contact the Art Center before enrolling. Beginners are asked to wait for a beginner class to support a focused learning environment. Classes are held at the Gilchrist Learning Center, with free parking available at the Art Center. Tuition is $265, and members receive a 20 percent discount on classes and workshops.

Eddies TavernPuzzle Mania Fundraiser
Enjoy a two-hour jigsaw challenge in support of a good cause. Teams of 5 to 6 players, ages 10 and up, will tackle a 1000-piece puzzle in a competition with prizes awarded through fifth place. Entry is $100 per team, with space for up to 15 teams. Preregistration with a donation is accepted. The event takes place at VFW Post 5240 Sather Odgaard. All proceeds will go to the nonprofit that receives the most votes from a list available that night. Tickets are $4 each or an arm length for $25, and all proceeds from these support the fundraiser.
