Over the past year, The Warming Shelter has provided more than 40,000 safe, warm nights, and a contribution of $29 covers one person’s stay for a night. Last fall’s effort funded more than 350 nights, with an aim to build on that impact this year. The event features the Faces of Homelessness panel, where local neighbors with lived experience share their stories and perspectives. Guests can enjoy live music from Mandy & Dylan, purchase food and drinks from Patti’s Pit Stop, and take part in a silent auction that helps fund additional nights of shelter. There will also be recognition of the Faces of Homelessness Action Teams and the money and supplies gathered during the fall campaign, along with simple, practical ways to support Siouxland neighbors throughout the year. No ticket is needed and there is no admission charge. RSVPs are appreciated but not required, and all are welcome.
