    Screen-Free Sundays: Crafternoon

Macomb · The Arthouse Folk School, 133 S Randolph St

Spend a relaxed afternoon creating in a friendly community setting. Makers of any age or experience level can bring a project from home or begin something new with supplies from the shared craft box. Please choose only non toxic, people friendly activities. Popular options include drawing with pastels, pencils, or charcoal, as well as writing such as letters, fiction, nonfiction, or calligraphy. Needlework like crochet, knitting, or embroidery is welcome, along with fiber arts including basketry, weaving, spinning, sewing, quilting, or felting. Papercraft options such as collage, decoupage, paper cutting, or origami are a good fit. Painting with watercolor, acrylic, or gouache is encouraged, while oil paints and chemical solvents are not permitted. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are available. Admission is 5 dollars, and members attend for free. This shared creative space values presence as much as making, so you can dive into a project or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
