Live music from The Band Crossroads fills On The Rocks, a venue set along the shore of Lake Michigan. Leonardo's will have food available for purchase. There is a full cash bar along with fire pits and tables, and attendees may bring their own chairs for added comfort while enjoying the setting, music, and food. Payments are cash only and an ATM is on site. Parking is free and there is no cover. Outside beverages are not permitted. Families and dogs are welcome.
Green Town On The RocksIllinois Concealed Carry Renewal Class
This renewal class reviews the knowledge required to maintain an Illinois concealed carry permit. Participants complete classroom instruction followed by a 30-round shooting qualification. Instruction covers applicable state and federal laws on firearm ownership, storage, carrying, and transportation, how to interact with law enforcement while transporting or carrying, reminders about where firearms are permitted and prohibited, the FOID Act, unlawful use of weapons, the lawful use of force to defend a person, a dwelling, or other property, and key definitions including dwelling, aggressor, and forcible entry. Cost is $95.
Fathers Day | Cars & Elotes
At Belvidere Mall, a relaxed park-and-mingle car gathering with a Cars and Coffee vibe is inspired by the mall’s popular elotes. Families can explore a wide range of vehicles, from classic rides to custom builds and off-road rigs. Whether displaying a vehicle or simply checking out the lineup, all attendees are welcome. Elotes will be available for purchase from Ortiz Grocery and El Pollo Rico, and there are additional food options from the mall’s restaurants and local shops. Lawn chairs and small tents are encouraged for a comfortable visit, with the day centered on cars, good food, and community.
