DEMO DECK EVENT

Learn the fundamentals of the Gundam Card Game at a beginner-friendly session at Secret Door Games. Staff and experienced players will cover turn order, combat, deck building, and core strategy, with guidance tailored to newcomers as well as those looking to sharpen their skills. Demo decks will be available so you can play right away with support from helpful mentors. Registration is required through the Bandai TCG+ app. This is a free event.

MTG Commander

MTG Commander play features pod seating based on your deck’s bracket level, with each participant competing in two different pods. After each pod, prizes are awarded as store credit, with $3 for first place, $2 for second, and $1 each for third and fourth, and there are frequent random giveaways. Entry is $5. Saturday sessions may include Commander Parties, Two-headed Commander, or other special Commander events during the month. When no special event is on the schedule, regular Commander is offered.

Cinderella

Cinderella returns to the stage in a full-length ballet from World Ballet Company, weaving classical technique with romance and lighthearted comedy. A cast of 40 international dancers performs to Marina Kesler’s choreography amid handcrafted scenery and more than 150 hand sewn costumes. Playful antics from the stepsisters and sweeping ballroom scenes carry the familiar tale toward its midnight turning point. The performance lasts about two hours with a 20 minute intermission and is for ages 2 and over. World Ballet Company is based in Los Angeles and led by Sasha Gorskaya and Gulya Hartwick. The troupe tours cities across the country, sharing beloved ballets with both newcomers and devoted fans. Its ensemble includes professional dancers from more than ten countries, and its travels have spanned over 300 cities and reached more than 500,000 people, many experiencing ballet for the first time.

Buckwheat Pancake Breakfast

Elkhart County Parks kicks off the milling season at Bonneyville Mill with a hearty pancake breakfast made using the mill’s own buckwheat flour. Enjoy buckwheat pancakes served with sausage, butter, syrup and drinks, with seating under the Feedlot Shelter in Bonneyville Mill County Park. The mill opens for tours and live demonstrations, and flour from the mill along with select gift items will be available for purchase. One pound bags of flour will be given away periodically. Plan to dress for the weather. Admission is 8 dollars per person and covers breakfast, and the event is suitable for all ages.

Chelton Glen Neighborhood Garage Sale

Explore garage sales throughout Chelton Glen, with a wide variety of items and plenty of opportunities to find a deal. The total number of participating homes is still being finalized. 24 Hour Play Festival

A fast paced theater event unfolds as several ten minute plays are written, rehearsed, and staged within a single day. This annual festival showcases all new work and features local talent from newcomers to longtime participants. Audience members can cast votes for best actor, director, script, and overall show. Tickets are $15.

1st The Bag Factory Train Show

Explore the first bi-annual Bag Factory Train Show, featuring operating layouts and displays across all scales. Browse plenty of new and pre-owned items throughout the show. A flyer with more details is available, and table reservations are offered online.

Open Paint

At Goshen Painter's Guild, enjoy a relaxed, self-guided studio session open to anyone looking to get creative. Paint a canvas at your own pace, or explore the paint table with choices that include mini birdhouses and Easter-themed goodies. Sessions are priced by time at $10 for 30 minutes or $15 for one hour.

Concord Music Association Mattress Fundraiser

The inaugural Concord Music Association mattress sale raises funds for students while offering a wide selection for better sleep. For one day only, the Concord HS McCuen Gymnasium will be transformed into a full showroom featuring more than 30 styles from brands such as Simmons Beautyrest, Purple, Helix, and Therapedic, with prices lower than retail. The Final Round, Family and Community Event

At Bristol Elementary, community members and Pirates from the past, present, and future come together for a milestone gathering centered on the 20th annual Family Golf Day. An 18-hole mini-golf course will be set up in the gym for $1 per person. The event also includes a student art showcase and a family picnic where a light meal is provided. It offers alumni and community members a chance to walk the halls, reconnect, and share memories that celebrate Bristol.

24 Hour Play Festival

A fast-paced annual theater festival that compresses the entire creative process into one day. Multiple ten-minute plays are written, rehearsed, and performed within 24 hours.

2026 Benchrest Matches

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with the competition commencing at 9:00 a.m. Both Rimfire and Centerfire Benchrest Matches will occur concurrently. There will be separate scoring for each. Competitors can participate in both matches if they choose. Any caliber rifle is permitted, and there are no restrictions regarding optics. Competitors can use front and rear rests, excluding sled-type one-piece rests. Bipods, sandbags, and commercial or improvised rests are allowed. Rests and sandbags will be available for use if needed. Any rifle below .50 caliber is eligible for the centerfire division. All rimfire calibers are allowed in the rimfire division. The course of fire includes unlimited sighter shots, in addition to twenty shots for record on a round bullseye target, within 15 minutes. A tie-breaking round will be conducted if necessary. Its recommended to bring at least forty rounds of ammunition per match. The Centerfire match will be at 100 yards, while the Rimfire match will be at 50 yards. Both matches will occur on the rifle range.

Mother & Me Tea

Enjoy a Mother and Me Tea featuring food for tea, sweet selections, and a range of teas. The theme honors how mothers are like bees, always busy and sweet as honey. Guest speakers Mich Bignell and her daughter, Stefani, from Ms Bs Teas in Clayton, Indiana will share about their family-run tea room. All-Day Vipassana Meditation Retreat

Set aside everyday noise and settle into a full day of silent insight meditation in a supportive setting designed to deepen awareness and steady attention. Grounded in the Vipassana tradition, the practice centers on mindful observation of breath, bodily sensations, thoughts, and feelings with balance and kindness, encouraging mental quiet, emotional steadiness, and a clearer view of patterns of mind. The day begins with foundational guidance, then gradually shifts to lighter instruction to allow for sustained self-observation. Silent practice is maintained throughout, with alternating periods of sitting and walking meditation that help build continuity. D&D Adventurers Guild

Embark on flexible, one-shot Dungeons & Dragons adventures as part of an Adventurers Guild where there is no required commitment. Choose as many missions as you want and progress at your own pace. Gather gold, upgrade your gear, and earn renown while rising through the ranks and working to protect Terra from Reznor, a powerful mage from beyond. Face legions of foes, navigate challenges, and help rebuild the kingdoms along the way. Characters are created when you enter the guild and continue through the end of the season. The campaign begins at level 3, and newcomers start at the same level as the group. Play uses the 2024 rules, with classes and races limited to those in officially printed Wizards of the Coast books for 5th Edition and 2024. Each session has a $5 fee. Designed for ages 16 and up, and welcoming to all experience levels.

NIMBA Group Ride - Mondays 6pm - Bonneyville Mill

Weather permitting, NIMBA leads a weekly no-drop mountain bike ride at Bonneyville Mill throughout the summer. Ride leaders welcome participants in the parking lot and at the trailhead before setting out, keeping the group together from start to finish. New and seasoned riders are welcome, with opportunities to connect with fellow trail enthusiasts and pick up tips on technique, trail etiquette, and local events. Participants also learn how NIMBA supports the Michiana mountain bike community and gain insight into the work that maintains the trails and strengthens the local riding scene. Expect a relaxed, social pace that prioritizes fun and keeping everyone together.

Big Dog Adoption Special

Humane Society of Elkhart County is offering an adoption special for large dogs, with fees waived for companions weighing 40 pounds or more. Each adoption comes with key supplies, including a leash, collar, and harness, plus a bag of dog food at no cost and six months of heartworm prevention to get you started. Adoptions are processed on a first-come basis, holds are not available, and same-day adoptions are possible after meeting the dogs.

Across eight weeks, the program builds social skills, strengthens the bond between puppy and owner, and introduces everyday manners. KING OF GLUTTONY Authorless Event

Celebrate the newest installment in the Kings of Sin universe with an authorless release party for King of Gluttony, the sixth book in the series from BookTok favorite Ana Huang. Elkhart County Resident Complimentary Garden Admission

Complimentary admission is offered every Tuesday for Elkhart County residents, made possible by support from the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, with a value of up to $10 per person. Visitors who are not residents, or who do not present proof of residency, will be charged standard admission. Guests may arrive any time until the final admission window, which is 30 minutes before closing. Intermediate Class (Puppy 2 or Dog 2) April- May 2026

Continue progress after Beginner Puppy or Beginner Dog with an intermediate class that expands on core skills. Expect coaching on advancing to more complex behaviors and practicing in settings with more distractions, along with guidance on when and how to increase difficulty. One Piece Weekly Locals Tournament

Hidden Realm Cards hosts a weekly local tournament with a $5 entry fee. Each participant receives a tournament pack, and prizes are awarded as store credit. Eighty percent of all entry fees are added to the prize pool.

Advanced Class (Puppy 3 or Dog 3) April to May 2026

Intended for those who have completed Intermediate Puppy or Dog classes, this advanced course strengthens established behaviors and steadily increases difficulty so dogs can stay focused around greater distractions. It works toward goals such as therapy dog readiness, foundations for service dog tasks, and reliable responses when off leash. The session spans six weeks and costs $145. Registration is available through the organizer's website or by contacting the office.

Sketch Club

Led by Emma Marsh, this skill-building gathering focuses on 2-D sketching and personal artistic growth. All experience levels are welcome. Bring your own materials to work from prompts or themed sessions. Activities take place indoors and outdoors throughout the year, including sessions at the Midwest Museum of American Art. The annual Partners for Clean Air Awards Luncheon will be held to commence the Air Quality Action Season. Lunch & Learn: Helping Caregivers Thrive

Caregivers are invited to a free Lunch & Learn hosted by Thelma A. Schrock Homestead Adult Day Services, created to offer encouragement, practical tools, and a supportive environment. The program opens with an informational seminar, “Helping Caregivers Thrive: Recognizing Needs and Building Support.” Afterward, lunch will be served, followed by a guided tour of The Homestead. TOT Time at the Family Resource Center offers open-ended play and exploration for young children. The format is flexible, allowing families to come and go as it suits them. Each attending family receives three BABE Coupons.

Yoga for Every BODY with Erin

Experience a welcoming yoga class led by Erin, created for all bodies and all levels. Whether managing hip, knee, or back discomfort, brand new to yoga, a senior, navigating limited mobility, or spending long hours at a desk, participants receive guidance to build a routine that suits individual needs. The session runs for one hour and concludes with a calming savasana. Chairs are provided, mats are optional so bring one if you prefer, and loose, comfortable clothing is recommended. Depending on weather and space, the location will be the Cottage Classroom or the Woodland Pavilion. Registration is encouraged, with walk-ins accepted as space permits. Shipshewana Trading Place holds Antique & Miscellaneous Auctions Every Wednesday, year-round, at 9 am. Holidays could affect these days. Board of Public Works and Safety 2026 Meetings

Goshen’s Board of Public Works and Safety convenes to handle the practical work of city operations. The Mayor and four appointed members consider contracts and bids, oversee street closures and personnel matters, and manage stormwater facilities along with the city’s municipally owned water and sewer utilities. Meetings are open to the community, with recordings and a livestream available. To request that an item be placed on the agenda, contact the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office. When darkness settles over Bonneyville Mill County Park, familiar paths transform and the nocturnal world wakes up. This nighttime frog walk heads to woodland ponds to listen for croaks, trills and other calls, with chances to notice web‑spinning spiders and bats overhead. Learn to recognize local frogs by ear and by sight while enjoying the lively chorus around the water. Plan for about a mile on muddy ground and meet at the main parking lot. Wear rainboots, bring waterproof layers, and carry a headlamp or flashlight. The program is free with no registration required and is open to ages 12 and up. Sensory Exploring with Nikki (Tiny/Small Dogs)

Led by Nikki, this three week class invites you and your dog to engage in sensory games that nurture curiosity and confidence. Each session focuses on touch, sound, smell, sight, and taste through gentle, fun activities, and you will practice simple ways to help your pup settle and unwind when situations feel overwhelming. Michiana Country Kickers presents a Saturday workshop and dance at American Legion Post 210. Afterward, the floor opens for line and partner dancing with familiar routines, audience song requests, and the possibility of a quick refresher lesson mixed in. Feature Grain Day - Einkorn

Bonneyville Mill spotlights einkorn as part of its feature grain series focused on ancient grains. Ancient grains have not been genetically manipulated like many modern varieties, and they are often regarded as a healthier choice for people. Einkorn, one of the earliest types of wheat, may have been used by humans as long as 30,000 years ago. Its flour works well for muffins, pancakes, and yeast breads. During this event at Bonneyville Mill, the team will be grinding einkorn and 2 lb bags of the flour will be available for purchase. Free baked samples made with einkorn flour will be offered. Admission is free and the program is open to all ages.

BenzTech Open House & Euro Car Cruise-In

BenzTech has expanded into a larger facility and is marking the occasion with an open house paired with a European car cruise-in. Guests can explore the shop, enjoy complimentary food and drinks, and enter a raffle for a chance to win a service. DRUM CIRCLE

Take part in a communal rhythm gathering where music emerges in the moment through hand drums and other percussion. All experience levels are welcome, from first timers to seasoned players. Participants listen, add their voice to the group pulse, and explore creativity and self expression, creating an atmosphere that is both uplifting and often meditative. Advance sign up is requested to reserve a spot. Bring a drum if you have one, or use the available shakers and other noisemakers. Cost is $10.

Tai Chi

Experience a Tai Chi class led by Zach, who is skilled in various martial arts. The class is designed for individuals of all ages and abilities. This session combines gentle movements, balance exercises, and self-defense techniques, aiming to improve stability, coordination, and strength. Goshen Redevelopment Commission | 2026 Meetings

Part of the Commission’s regular monthly schedule, this meeting takes place in the Council Chambers. The City Council created the Redevelopment Department and the Goshen Redevelopment Commission on December 7, 1999. The Department is overseen by a five-member Commission, with most members appointed by the Mayor and the rest by the Council, operating under Indiana Code 36-7-14 to address blighted locations and economic development areas. Their work helps initiate new development in targeted parts of the city through property acquisition, site preparation, environmental cleanup, and the construction of public infrastructure. Common funding approaches include Tax Incremental Financing and Redevelopment General Obligation Bonds. A webinar viewing option is available.

School Matinee Skate 2025-2026

JaRisa’s Fun Zone features a school skate session with lively music and the option to play laser tag. Admission is $7 per person and includes regular skate rental, with speed or inline skates available for an additional $5. Laser tag is priced at $5 per player for each game. Group rates are offered and suit schools with smaller attendance, field trips, reward days, and other special events.

A live talent competition brings standout performers from across Michiana to the stage while raising vital support for Oaklawn’s mental health and addiction services. Five local acts perform before an in-person audience, and the crowd’s votes determine the winner. Voting is open and continues through intermission on the night of the show, and every $5 vote helps advance Oaklawn’s mission to deliver compassionate, accessible mental health care. The top vote-getter earns a $5,000 grand prize. The lineup features the Aaron Stutzman Family Band of Millersburg, a family group sharing gospel and traditional country harmonies with spirited yodeling; Caleb Shaw, a seasoned musical theater performer with credits that include Disneyland productions, Disney Entertainment recordings, orchestral guest appearances, and American Idol; Janet Gunn, an award-winning vocalist from South Bend with national performance experience and a passion for lifting her community; Kiana Piercy, a dynamic multi-style dancer and Ball State University graduate known for powerful, expressive work; and The Ripple Effect Vocal Visionary Project, a vibrant community choir that blends jazz, gospel, musical theater, and original pieces to inspire unity and positive change. Sweet Honey in the Rock, the Grammy-nominated African American vocal group, appears at Goshen College Music Center as it marks 50 years with a celebration that will span three years. The Our Waters Experience

Explore the story of Elkhart County’s waters through an immersive, multi-sensory tour based at the Elkhart County Historical Museum. The experience heads to the St. Joseph River, then continues inside the museum in the new Our Waters exhibit. Participants listen to Indigenous creation narratives, engage with a nearby river environment, and discover how water has shaped the lives of people, plants, and animals across the county. The program welcomes all ages, is free for children 12 and under, and costs $5 per person for others. Space is limited to 15 participants, and the group meets at the Elkhart County Historical Museum.

EQU Media’s Auto Fest

EQU Media’s Auto Fest brings a select showcase of high-end vehicles to MJ Trailers INC, with a live DJ, food from a BBQ truck and a taco truck, and a range of vendors. Drivers who wish to display a vehicle can request a reserved space, limited to 130 spots at $5 per spot, with registration required and payment collected only after approval. Spring Paper Quilling Workshop

Wellfield Botanic Gardens and PapermongerLLC present a beginner friendly paper quilling workshop that invites participants to explore how narrow strips of paper can be rolled, shaped, and arranged into intricate patterns. Guided by Jess, you will create a small framed floral artwork to brighten a space or give as a gift. This soothing, mindful craft uses only a few simple tools yet opens the door to endless designs, from handmade cards and earrings to pieces for the wall. The session is designed as an easygoing time for making, conversation, and community. All materials are provided and no prior experience is needed. Jess, a South Bend native and former social worker who now works as a full time traveling artist, shares quilling as a way to slow down, notice your surroundings, and enjoy the hands on process. Her goal is to foster a cozy, kind, low stress atmosphere where creativity can thrive. Intended for ages 16 and up, with minors attending alongside an adult who is also registered. The workshop will be held in the South Event Room within the Visitors Center. Registration is required and space is limited. Revolutionary War Graves Driving Tour

Explore local Revolutionary War history on a guided driving caravan led by Elkhart County Historical Museum staff. The route visits the graves of five veterans and spans about 43 miles, beginning at the museum and concluding at Bonneyville Cemetery. Along the way, staff share insights into each patriot’s life, military service, and final resting place. Parking is limited at some stops, so carpooling is encouraged. Restrooms and water are available only at the museum. The program is open to all ages. The cost is $5 per person and capacity is limited to 25 participants. Exhale and Celebrate

The Elkhart County Symphony concludes Season 78 at The Lerner Theatre with a program that highlights guest violinist Caitlin Edwards. The repertoire features selections from her album Exhale, works she composed and performs, and the Symphony’s take on Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio espagnol along with other orchestral pieces. Edwards is a Chicago-based violinist, arranger, recording artist, and teacher who began studying at age eight through the Music Opportunity Program in Birmingham, Alabama. Classically trained and inspired by gospel, jazz, hip hop, and neo-soul, she holds performance degrees from the University of Louisville and DePaul University, studying with J. Patrick Rafferty and Janet Sung.

Line Dancing Workshop & Dance Party at the Legion with Michiana Country Kickers!

Michiana Country Kickers brings a workshop and open dance party to American Legion Post 210 in Middlebury, Indiana. The workshop focuses on beginner plus and easy improver line dances, offering a supportive introduction for newcomers and a chance to level up for dancers with a few steps under their boots. Afterward, the floor opens for line and partner dancing, with song and dance requests welcomed, and there may be a brief extra lesson or review. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Dinner and drinks are available from the Legion’s kitchen and bar, though supplies can run out, and outside food or beverages are not permitted. The venue features a full bar and lounge with big screen TVs and dart boards for breaks between songs. Additional parking is available behind the building. Admission is $6 per person for the workshop or the open dance, or $10 per person to enjoy both. Boots are not required, and smiles are encouraged.

Wed. Bird Walk: Countryside Nesters

Take a relaxed, two-mile bird walk along the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail as summer residents move in and begin nesting. Look for countryside favorites like bluebirds, mockingbirds, and meadowlarks as they establish their seasonal homes on this extended outing. The walk is free with no registration required and is suitable for ages 8 and up. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and dress in breathable layers. The group meets at the CR 43 Trailhead of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail in Middlebury.

Weekly First Tee Class Age 4-6

Young golfers ages 4 to 6 can take part in a weekly, summerlong First Tee class at Black Squirrel Golf Club. Along with learning the game, the program focuses on character development through commitments such as setting goals, embracing challenges, collaborating with others, building a positive self-identity, and using good judgment. The full session costs $80, and need-based scholarships are available through the registration system. All ability levels are welcome, and equipment is provided when needed. At Das Dutchman Essenhaus, Coachmen Auto Club celebrates 70 years with a member reunion paired with a car and bike show. The event is open to all and features live music, award plaques, and multiple classes. Additional details will be shared closer to the event.

St. Joseph River Kayak Trip

Paddle the St. Joseph River on an outing that blends local history with natural discovery along a stretch of the county's largest waterway. The trip launches from the Congdon Park kayak launch and concludes at the Six Span Bridge, with roughly two hours on the water. Along the route, participants learn about historic sites and observe the ecosystems and wildlife found along the river. A treat awaits at the finish. Each participant must wear a life jacket or have one on the kayak. Rental kayaks, life jackets, and paddles are available. If bringing your own boat, drop it at Congdon Park where boats will be supervised, then drive to Six Span Bridge to park and take a Parks staff shuttle back to the starting point. Renters will park at Congdon Park and will be shuttled back to their vehicles when the program ends. Consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, water, snacks, and a dry bag. Fees are $10 per person with your own kayak, or $40 with a provided kayak, with rentals limited to nine. Open to all ages, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

2nd Annual car show fundraiser

American Legion Riders Post #143 hosts the second annual car and bike show benefiting Troop Town. Entries compete across multiple categories, and participation is open to Jeeps, trucks, 4x4s, classic and muscle vehicles, and motorcycles. Food trucks will be on site, along with multiple raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and beer for sale.

Charcuterie Board Building

Elena from Gather and Graze leads a hands-on charcuterie workshop where participants design a 10-inch round charcuterie plate to take home. The session covers styling techniques, pairing tips, and creative ideas to elevate presentation. It suits a date experience, a girls' outing, a family activity, or anyone who enjoys good food and beautiful boards. All supplies are provided. The class takes place in the Cottage Classroom and is intended for ages 10 and up. All minors must attend with an adult, and basic kitchen utensils will be in use. Registration is required and space is limited. The class is non-refundable. If you cannot attend and want to transfer your spot to a friend, contact Wellfield at (574) 266-2006. Trail Running Club

Enjoy a supported group run on the trails of Bonneyville Mill County Park. All experience levels are welcome, whether you are new to running or eager to take your training onto natural surfaces. The outing begins with a brief look at the park’s history for context, then the group heads out to explore the paths together while trading tips and encouragement. Plan for an easy pace over roughly 1 to 1.5 miles, with the option to repeat the route for more distance. Wear sturdy running shoes, dress in layers, and bring water. Participation is free and limited to 12 people. Suitable for ages 12 and up, with participants under 16 accompanied by an adult. Meet at the Kum Mol Rie Shelter within the park.

Feature Grain Day

Bonneyville Mill continues its feature grain series with a spotlight on ancient grains, varieties that have not undergone genetic manipulation and are considered by many to be a healthier choice. Emmer, an ancient type of wheat once gathered from the wild in the Fertile Crescent region of the Middle East, is the focus. Its flour is commonly used for cookies, pasta, and zucchini bread. During the event, the mill will be grinding emmer, and 2 pound bags of the flour will be available for purchase. Free baked samples made with emmer will be offered. Admission is free and all ages are welcome at Bonneyville Mill.

A plein air paint out at Wellfield Botanic Gardens in Elkhart, Indiana offers a chance to explore 36 acres of diverse botanical scenery and to scout the grounds for future events. Set within an active well field, the landscape blends manicured gardens with wilder spaces and abundant water features, creating ideal conditions for studying reflections and light. Subjects include the tranquil Japanese Island Garden with its wooden pavilion, the colorful Quilt Garden, waterfalls, and sculptures. Jimmie Vaughan & The Tilt-A-Whirl Band

When it comes to the blues today, there are a handful of guiding lights to make sure the music stays true to its history. For Jimmie Vaughan, he's dedicated his life to making sure the blues not only stays alive, but remains full of life and an inspiration to all who listen. It's a spirit he holds close to him, and for almost 60 years, Vaughan isn't about to stop now. As a bandleader, singer and guitarist, the four time Grammy Award winner, Jimmie Vaughan is a master of how everything is captured for posterity. "Playing what you feel has always been my main goal," Vaughan says. Considering the Texas guitarist and singer has had the kind of career that makes him a living legacy, those are no idle words. His first group when he was 13 years old played Dallas' Hob Nob Lounge six nights a week, learning the kind of lessons that can't be taught, they have to be lived. Getting the chance to open for Jimi Hendrix when he was 16 years old along with being heavily influenced by B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Albert King, Freddie King and so many more, convinced the young Vaughan it was time to find a way to play the music he felt the strongest about: the blues. That took him to hitchhiking to Austin in the early 70's and carving out a new crew of blues players who shared his musical excitement. He formed The Fabulous Thunderbirds and their debut album "Girls Go Wild" on Takoma Records was released in 1979. After worldwide success with The Fabulous Thunderbirds during the 80's, it came time to leave the band and build his own path in exploring different approaches to the blues. He and his brother Stevie Ray Vaughan collaborated and released "Family Style" to great acclaim and recognition in the music industry. He then released his first solo album on Epic Records in the early 90's and what Vaughan discovered was that he could take it anywhere; there were no boundaries. "I wanted to find out what I could really do," he says, "and when I started singing it gave me a whole new side to explore. When I was young I didn't really pay much attention to categories of music. I just heard what I liked and decided to explore that and that's really what I'm still doing." Jimmie is continuing his love affair with and staying spiritually connected to the American music he loves.

Shipshewana Trading Place holds Antique & Miscellaneous Auctions Every Wednesday, year-round, at 9 am. Holidays could affect these days. Move from ring to ring catching the best deals on a wide variety of merchandise as six to ten auctioneers simultaneously sell inside the Shipshewana Antique Building every week. Find furniture, antiques, primitives, art, glassware, pottery, household items, tools, sporting goods, architectural salvage, estate items, books, and the list goes on and on! Each Wednesday the auction is completely different as sellers from all over bring in their picks and finds. An average auction will take from 9 am until 1 pm – 3 pm. The auction is held in the Shipshewana Auction Misc. & Antique Building (an 80′ by 200′ enclosed facility, heated in the winter and open-air in the summer). Restrooms and the Auction Snack Bar are located inside. Every Wednesday we have people in attendance from all across the country. Many of our customers are here every week, both buyers and sellers, while every week there are people in attendance for the very first time. Every Wednesday starting at 9:00 am. Selling Hay, Feeder Pigs, Dairy Heifers, Feeder Cattle, Veal, Sheep, Lambs, Goats, Butcher Bulls and Cows/Fat Cattle. Schedule – Effective Dec. 10, 2025 9:00 am – Hay 9:30 am – Hogs & Feeder Pigs 10:00 am – Dairy Heifers, Dairy Cows & Feeder Cattle Following Feeder Cattle (Approx. 1:30 pm) Veal, Sheep, Lambs, Goats (in that order) 4:00 pm – Butcher Bulls, Fat Cattle & Cows (in that order)
