Goshen Public LibraryCommunity Relations Commission | 2026 Meetings
A meeting of the Community Relations Commission highlights an ongoing effort to improve life in Goshen through inclusive programs that serve everyone. The Commission works to confront racism and discrimination, build stronger connections among neighbors, address community challenges, and promote health, safety, and overall well-being. It also encourages respectful interactions across Goshen’s diverse community and connects people with discrimination concerns to agencies that can provide support.
LAUGHTER YOGA
Rediscover the energy of joy through the healing practice of Laughter Yoga, a group experience that uses intentional laughter to offer many of the same benefits as spontaneous laughter. In a culture that often prioritizes stress and seriousness, this session centers presence, play, and genuine human connection. Participants explore gentle movement, eye contact, childlike playfulness, and guided laughter exercises so that pretend giggles naturally turn into the real thing. No yoga background, flexibility, or even a sense of humor is required. Simply bring a willingness to breathe deeply, let go, and have fun. Benefits can include reduced stress and tension, a brighter mood, increased oxygen and energy, support for the immune system, greater mindfulness, a stronger sense of belonging, the release of endorphins with deep relaxation, and a boost to resilience and inner peace. Joy is treated as a practice and a form of healing, creating space to soften, reconnect, and remember the medicine of laughter, community, and lightheartedness. Cost is $22 or included with membership.
