She offers both group and private sessions, specializes in meditation, and works with clients facing cancer, trauma, and anxiety. She is also a certified Ayurveda Wellness Counselor and an End of Life Doula.

This four-part program at Sophia’s Portico offers thoughtful conversations that celebrate influential women across many eras and fields. It begins with stories of figures from before the 18th century, including the BCE period, then explores women’s roles in leadership, politics, resistance, and human rights. The focus then turns to revolutionaries in the arts, science, literature, intellectual essays, and modern media. The concluding session highlights the rise and impact of women’s spirituality awakening and how it can nourish and embolden personal growth. The series is presented by Leslie Clark, an educator who has taught English, Philosophy, and Ethics at multiple universities. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English literature and has pursued additional studies in women’s literature, spirituality, history, and philosophy, along with personal study of the divine feminine and goddess traditions. An all-ages, free open jazz jam with Rhythm Bloom welcomes the community to make music together. Following the six-week regular season at Old Crown, a Pinball at the Zoo date appears on the schedule, then playoffs are held at Old Crown. The A bracket consists of the top ten players or 50 percent of the qualifying field, whichever is smaller, in a week-seven group elimination final played over two rounds with three games per round, with the highest seed earning a bye. Research supports this evidence-based program for strengthening coping and problem-solving skills among those who support a loved one. Classes are led by NAMI-trained family members who share lived experience and guide participants through presentations, discussions, and interactive activities. Participants learn practical strategies for caring for someone they love while discovering they are not alone and that hope is part of the journey. One past attendee described feeling less isolated and more aware of available resources after completing the course. Topics covered include communication and problem-solving, self-care and stress management, compassionate ways to support a loved one, how to find and use local services, current information on mental health conditions and their effects on the brain, crisis response, treatments and therapies, and how mental health conditions can affect the family as a whole. This community fundraiser to help address hunger is sponsored by the PFW Department of Art and Design and supports The Pantry at Purdue Fort Wayne and the PFW Ceramics Club. With a $30 donation, each guest receives a unique handcrafted ceramic bowl, a convenient to-go lunch with a vegetarian option, plus a drink and dessert. Meals are provided by Miller’s Market, and credit cards, cash, and checks are accepted. The fundraiser takes place on campus in the International Ballroom as well as at Artlink. At the campus event, proceeds are split evenly between The Friends Pantry at Purdue Fort Wayne and the PFW Ceramics Club. At Artlink, proceeds benefit the pantry, the ceramics club, and Artlink, with a 40, 40, 20 percent distribution. The food offering is the same at both locations. Rock & Rebel Music Fest brings its traveling showcase to Piere's main room with a half dozen bands on the main stage. The festival has visited venues across the United States, including The Crofoot, The Music Factory, Howard's, The Polish Ostrich, The Token Lounge, and Stan's Room, and now highlights emerging Indiana artists alongside regional acts. Performers include Red Light Running, Two Minutes Too Late, Godstine, Burdens Within, and Reliant Concerts, with additional bands to be announced. This is an all-ages event. General admission is $15 in advance or $20 the day of, with an option to upgrade to table and chairs. Created for young theatergoers and welcoming to all, the show features playful storytelling and imaginative staging that families can enjoy together. It runs about an hour with no intermission. Select performances include a post show conversation or a relaxed format with a pre show talk. The play is adapted for the stage by Barry Kornhauser with music by Victor Zupanc. It was originally commissioned and produced by Children’s Theatre Company and is presented by special arrangement with Plays for New Audiences. Hosted by the Fort Wayne Region of the Sports Car Club of America, this program pairs a hands-on Solo School with the first points autocross event. The school is aimed at newcomers to autocross as well as drivers seeking more seat time. The day starts with check-in and tech, opportunities to meet other drivers and instructors, and a classroom introduction from the Solo Director that covers the basics. Participants then move to the course for an overview and coached runs, break for a provided lunch with a discussion on car control, and return to the course to put new techniques into practice. Coaches ride along to offer guidance, and students may choose to have a coach demonstrate in their own car. The school concludes with a debrief on what to expect at a regional points event. Karts are not allowed. Solo School only is $50, with lunch included. Points Event #1 features registration, tech, course walks including a novice walk, a required drivers meeting, and timed runs. To allow for more runs this year, the lunch break will be shorter, so packing a meal or arranging delivery is recommended since leaving may not fit the window. The course opens for walking once safety stewards approve it, and the schedule may change based on weather. Karts are not permitted. Entry for the points event is $45. Non SCCA members must add a Weekend Membership for $25 to complete registration. Pre registering and paying for the points event earns an $8 discount, and registering for both the Solo School and Points Event #1 provides a $20 savings for a total of $67. All participants must sign the SCCA insurance waiver and have a valid driver’s license. Drivers under 18 need a minor waiver signed by both parents, and FWSCCA can provide details. Beat Ensemble Junior is a monthly music program for children ages 5 to 12 that celebrates every ability. Designed for kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities, it focuses on rhythm, teamwork, and creativity in a supportive group. Each session centers on a playful theme and features hands-on music making with boomwhackers, Orff instruments, and a range of percussion, and no prior experience is needed. Participants practice keeping a steady beat, making music together, and building confidence through self expression and sound exploration. The environment fosters connection with peers in a welcoming, inclusive space, and children take part alongside a parent or support staff to share the experience. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants, each accompanied by a required parent or support person. During registration, families can share accommodation needs. Sweetwater and the instructor will provide reasonable accommodations, except one to one assistance, which must be supplied by the participant’s own support person. He appears on nine recorded comedy projects with Ken Davis, David Jeremiah, Ted Cunningham, and Tim Hawkins. Starting out on a small stage in the early 90s, he has spent more than 25 years making audiences laugh with a clean style that chases the kind of laughter that makes jaws ache and sides cramp. When he is not performing or teaching, he enjoys playing board games with his family. An offering will be collected to help cover ministry expenses, and snacks will be available.

Half marathon participants travel into downtown beside the St. Joe River, continue across town along Main Street, then transition to Fort Wayne’s paved trail network for the return to the Coliseum. The half marathon has a 4 hour cutoff. Marathoners share the opening 13 miles with the half before heading north past the Coliseum, with nearly the entire second half on paved trails. The marathon cutoff is 7.5 hours. T-shirts, finisher medals, and awards for overall and age-group categories are provided.

His Golden Globe nominated drum set score for the film Birdman brought recognition far beyond the jazz world. They perform original material, much of it written together, featuring memorable melodies, lush harmony, and grooves that shift and surprise while staying deeply rhythmic. Each pair then takes the stage for a friendly competition, with cheers and donations supporting the cause. The atmosphere is uplifting, celebrating empowerment, courage, and community spirit.

Participants explore practical communication tools, self-care and stress management, compassionate ways to support a loved one, and how to locate and use local services. The class also covers up-to-date information on mental health conditions and the brain, strategies for handling a crisis, current treatments and therapies, and the impact on the entire family. Full Moon Ecstatic Dance
A therapeutic freeform dance journey welcomes all in a safe, respectful setting where individuality is encouraged and distractions fall away. The music builds gradually to an ecstatic peak, then gently settles, supporting a meditative flow. Participants dance without talking, without shoes, and without drugs or alcohol to foster authenticity. An optional guided warm-up is led by Julia Hyndman-Helmkamp, and DJ PUMAS provides a live mix for the main journey. Guests may arrive and depart as needed. The program moves through folk, spirituals, classical, contemporary, and pieces shaped by global influences, reflecting the many voices that form the American story. High school singers from the inaugural Pearl-Purdue Choral Festival join the ensembles for this occasion. The music is led by Dr. Wiliam Sauerland, Dr. Kelly Evans, and Mr. Tavis Schlicker, with collaborative pianists Mrs. Irene Ator and Dr. Geoffrey North. The performance is presented in Auer Performance Hall. Prepare a 60 to 90 second cut from a song by a Black composer or lyricist, or a selection historically performed or reimagined by a Black artist. Choose material that suits your voice and artistry and reflects the spirit of this cabaret, with an emphasis on boldness, joy, power, and truth. Those selected must be available for rehearsals on Monday through Thursday evenings, followed by tech rehearsals and multiple performances. Chacón, an Austin-based comic with roots in El Salvador, earned a Golden Ticket on his first Kill Tony appearance and performs regularly at the Comedy Mothership, owned by Joe Rogan. He has opened for Dave Attell, Ralph Barboza, and Tony Hinchcliffe, and is known as the Gay Angry West Hollywood bear. Cordes is also a Golden Ticket winner whose viral clips showcase his observational humor, sharp timing, and playful material about his unusually youthful appearance, which he addresses with wit. Seating is general admission with a limited number of VIP and front row options. Capacity is small and shows often sell out, so advance purchase is recommended and tickets are first come, first served. VIP and front row seats are held until 10 minutes before showtime and may be reassigned to on-time guests if there is no prior notice of delay. Admission is 18 and over, or 17 with a parent or legal guardian. Groups of more than seven who did not buy tickets together should contact the club in advance to arrange seating.

Mr. Jeff: A Rock Concert for Kids
Start summer break with a high-energy performance from acclaimed children’s musician Mr. Jeff. Once a Pre-K educator who now performs full time, he writes playful, original songs that get the whole family moving. This interactive show blends catchy pop sounds with big-movement activities and moments that support social and emotional growth, so kids are not just watching. They sing, dance, and join the action. Expect an afternoon full of music, motion, and sunny good vibes, with plenty of chances to show off those dance moves. By the end, little ones are often happily tired and adults are ready for more. The set features imaginative tunes for all ages, is especially suited to preschool and early elementary children, and invites participation rather than sitting still. Themes center on confidence, growing up, and staying true to yourself. The performance takes place at the Phil Center and promises a wonderfully fun time.
Why do they do that (and could it be me)?
This workshop examines the meaning behind confusing or challenging behaviors in young children and offers practical ways to interpret what those behaviors may be communicating. It explores how emotions shape development and how a child’s environment can influence actions. Attendees also reflect on how their own temperament and personality might affect a child’s responses. The content is tailored for anyone who knows, loves, or works with a child and finds themselves wondering why a child behaves a certain way, with learning presented in a thoughtful and lighthearted style. Attendance incentives include an opportunity for programs to receive 10 hours of in-classroom support from an experienced OT and behavioral consultant when a representative attends three of the five sessions. In addition, every teacher or clinician who participates earns funds to spend on sensory items, which can be used after each session or saved for a larger purchase at the end.
