This relaxed garden talk and discussion covers how to understand your soil, test pH, and build fertility with compost, amendments, and mulch. It compares in-ground gardens and raised beds while addressing key factors such as drainage, sunlight, and long-term care. Participants also learn how to incorporate kitchen herbs, medicinal plants, and select native species so the space is both beautiful and productive. The format is conversational with time for questions, and it includes a few simple herbal tastings to create a sensory link with the plants. Whether starting fresh or refining an existing setup, the focus is on creating a strong foundation for the season. Cost is $15.
