🛡️ Gundam Card Game – Weekly Constructed Tournament

Compete in a weekly constructed showdown for the Gundam Card Game at Next Level Games. Bring your own legal build featuring a 50 card main deck and a 10 card resource deck, using only official English cards with no proxies or foreign language prints. Play 1v1 in Swiss pairings with single game matches, with three additional turns if a round is called. The number of rounds depends on turnout, often three to four. Entry is $15 per player. Prizes include a booster box for first place, plus one booster pack for each match win for other participants. If sealed product cannot be provided, the full entry pool is returned as store credit awarded to the top four at a 50, 30, 10, 10 split. Standard deck construction limits apply, including a maximum of four copies of any single card.

Casual Commander Night

Take part in the Value Vintage Tournament, a Vintage format event centered on a budget friendly, value focused experience. The entry fee is $10, and 100 percent of entry fees are paid out as store credit. Prizes are awarded to the top four finishers, with 40 percent to first place, 25 percent to second, 20 percent to third, and 15 percent to fourth. Participants also earn promo points, including 1 for participating, 2 for each win, and 1 for a loss or draw, which can be spent in the promo binder. The goal is a competitive environment that stays accessible, with all rewards cycling back to players.

Standard Showdown

Standard Showdown at Next Level Games offers a Standard format tournament using Swiss pairings with best of three matches. Entry is $13, and preregistration is available in store or online. Prizes scale with attendance, with three packs added to the prize pool for every entry. The winner selects the set for those packs from the last three Standard sets, and the pool is shared among the top three players at 60 percent, 25 percent, and 15 percent. The winner also receives one Carnage, Crimson Chaos while supplies last. All participants earn Promo Points that can be redeemed for promos. Registration grants 3 points, each win is worth 2 points, and a loss or draw is worth 1 point.

A weekly Official Organized Play Weiss Schwarz tournament at Alt Art TCG gives players a place to test their decks, connect with other fans of their favorite anime series, and compete for booster pack prizes that scale with attendance. Matches follow standard Weiss Schwarz rules, and the number of rounds depends on how many players participate. Entry is $6. Both newcomers and veterans are welcome, with guidance available for those learning the game, and arriving early is recommended for new player help. Bring your best deck and go for the win.

Choirs - Senior Sendoff Concert

Experience a choral program featuring Concert Choir, Vox Anima, University Choral Union, and Cardinal Chorus. Concert Choir presents 20th century favorites by Franz Biebl and Morten Lauridsen, adds a sacred work by Mozart, and includes playful arrangements of Canadian folk songs. Vox Anima revisits selections from Women of Song with pieces by Elaine Hagenberg, Melissa Dunphy, and Laura Jeksabone, along with the traditional Namibian play song Tuli Tuli. University Choral Union offers notable works including Red, Red Rose by Indiana composer James Mulholland, Omnia sol by Z. Randall Stroope, a song of farewell, and Turn the World Around by Harry Belafonte. Cardinal Chorus brings uplifting, spirited selections that include a Canadian sea shanty. All ensembles join to close with Moses Hogan’s setting of the African American spiritual Ezekiel Saw the Wheel, and the program includes a moment to recognize graduating seniors. Tickets can be purchased from the College of Fine Arts Box Office at Sursa Hall. Parking is available in the McKinley Parking Garage and is free on weekends.

Celebrate Arbor Day in Muncie with a free community gathering presented by Minnetrista in collaboration with Muncie’s Urban Forestry Committee and community partners. Guests can take home a young tree from a diverse selection that includes white pine, tuliptree, black gum, pin oak, American plum, Norway spruce, common chokecherry, white oak, and swamp chestnut oak. Hands-on demonstrations will share practical techniques for planting and caring for trees. Craft stations invite families and children to enjoy creative activities, and staff will be available to offer planting help and guidance on choosing the right species for different spaces. A free raffle will feature trees, gardening tools, and other prizes, creating a friendly atmosphere focused on tree care and urban forestry.

Metal for Meals Community Donation Drive

A community donation drive invites neighbors to turn scrap metal and shelf-stable food into support for local hunger relief. Hosted at the remodeled Muncie Cold Storage property with parking provided through the generosity of Clear Sky Commercial, the effort centers on simple, organized drop off. Food items are accepted at a dedicated table, with 100 percent of those donations going to Muncie Mission Ministries. Metal items can be placed on the trailer supplied by Muncie Metal Solutions, and a portion of proceeds from the metal will also benefit the same mission. Limited pickups are available for items that are too large or heavy, offered on the day of the drive and the following day. Advance scheduling with Muncie Metal Solutions is required, and capacity is limited, so early requests are encouraged. All metal gathered over the weekend will be recycled the Monday after the event, and organizers will publicly share the total weight collected and the amount donated. Safe & Smart: Self Defense Workshop

Build awareness, confidence, and practical self defense skills in a three hour, hands on workshop at the Dojo in Cornerstone Center for the Arts. Guided by Rebeka Hufnagel and Stacey Hufnagel, participants will practice straightforward techniques, learn how to set boundaries, and strengthen situational awareness in a welcoming setting. No prior experience is needed. Come ready to learn skills that support everyday safety and increase confidence.

Cornflict Scrim-a-Thon 2026

At the Delaware County Fairgrounds, Cornfed Roller Derby presents the second annual Cornflict Scrim-a-thon, an all-day, open gender roller derby scrimmage event. Skaters will be placed on four mixed level teams, with final rosters shared the week before. Each matchup features two 20-minute halves and a 5 to 8 minute halftime, and every team will skate three times over the course of the event. Participation is $50 per skater and includes a t-shirt printed with the skater’s number, with the option to add a name for an additional $5. Current WFTDA insurance is required. Capacity begins at 72 skaters with a waitlist to follow, and spots are confirmed once both the registration form and payment are submitted. Payment options include Venmo and Square. Spectators are welcome with a $10 suggested donation at the door. This is a low-key gathering without provided seating, so both spectators and skaters should bring their own chairs. A tentative schedule features six games with lunch and activity breaks in between.

6th Annual Superhero Walk Against Child Abuse

The 6th Annual Superhero Walk Against Child Abuse returns to the Muncie Children’s Museum to raise awareness during Child Abuse Prevention Month in Delaware County. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes and walk alongside local heroes who support kids and families in the community. The first 30 kids and the first 30 adults will receive a superhero cape. After the walk, families can enjoy time inside the museum, and light refreshments will be available. The walk is planned to take place outdoors if weather permits, and updates will be shared as the event approaches.

Rinard Orchid Greenhouse Annual Plant Sale/Fundraiser 2026

Explore a variety of plants at the annual plant sale and fundraiser supporting the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse. The focus is on uniting families, individuals, and the community in celebration, connection, and mutual support.

Join Minnetrista, Muncie’s Urban Forestry Committee, and community partners for the Muncie Arbor Day celebration, which includes a sapling giveaway. There will be tree and sapling planting demonstrations that provide insights on tree care. Craft stations will allow families and children to explore artistic activities. Select a sapling from this year’s selection of Norway spruce, white pine, black gum, pin oak, swamp chestnut oak, chestnut oak, tuliptree, white oak, American plum, common chokecherry, redbud, and white dogwood. You can get help planting a sapling, advice on selecting the ideal tree for your space, or enter a free raffle for trees, gardening tools, and other prizes.

Human Library Project

Visitors can check out people as books for conversations at Oakhurst Home. The format encourages open dialogue that challenges stereotypes and reduces prejudice, creating a space where candid questions are welcomed and answered. All are welcome at this free community event. During the program, the Oakhurst Experience will be closed while Oakhurst Home remains open to host the Human Library conversations.

RIFTBOUND: NEXUS NIGHT

RIFTBOUND: NEXUS NIGHT features a constructed 1v1 tournament at Next Level Games, with best of three matches and 50 minute rounds. Entry is $10 and adds three booster packs to the prize pool for each participant. Paint Club

Take part in a miniature painting session where you can use provided paints and brushes for $4, which also includes a miniature to paint, or participate for free by bringing your own supplies. The club is led by Marie Bayer, an award-winning miniature painter with more than 20 years of experience who enjoys painting all kinds of miniatures. Marie will be available to answer painting questions throughout. Open to ages 14 and up, with anyone under 18 accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Microphone Bootcamp

Dive into the fundamentals of microphone technology with a practical workshop presented by Shure Microphones. Guidance comes from industry expert Jon Sisson and Shure representative Sam Dowty alongside the venue’s staff, with a focus on using microphones effectively in both live sound and studio recording. The session explains how microphones work, compares dynamic and condenser models, and highlights where each type excels. Participants explore how placement and technique shape tone and clarity, gain strategies to reduce noise, bleed, and feedback, and learn to use polar patterns to isolate vocals, control problem spots, or capture room ambiance. Hands-on demo stations let you hear the differences between vocal mics through direct A/B comparisons and experiment with choices for miking a snare using a dedicated rig. There is time for demos and Q&A during the break and after the class, and arriving when doors open allows for extra time at the stations. This workshop is part of a six-session training series that also features digital audio mixing fundamentals, advanced digital mixing, advanced wireless audio systems, a ticketed three-day Avolites Titan console course, and loudspeaker fundamentals.

Each image affirms identity and ambition, showing how representation helps young people feel that they belong. It celebrates dreams and invites action, emphasizing that the community’s future is already taking shape and is alive with possibility.

BFA Studio Art Senior Capstone Exhibitions I, II, and III

The School of Art presents a rotating series of BFA Studio Art capstone exhibitions featuring the work of graduating seniors. Each week introduces a new group sharing pieces from their final projects, showcasing a broad mix of media, ideas, and styles, with a reception and gallery talk accompanying each rotation. All exhibitions take place in The Ned and Gloria Griner Art Gallery near the Atrium Food Court inside the Arts & Journalism Building. Admission is free and open to all.

Preschool PlayHub returns to The Hub with a friendly play space for preschoolers, toddlers, and their caregivers. Little ones can explore, play, and learn, while adults connect with other families. Each gathering features enrichment activities and social learning, creating a sense of community for children and grownups alike. SEWING BASICS #2: CHAPSTICK HOLDER

Ready to take the next step with your sewing machine? This interactive class is intended for anyone who has completed Sewing Basics #1 or already feels confident operating a machine. Create a practical chapstick holder finished with a keyring or loop, a handy make for daily use or a simple gift. Participants will practice essentials such as precise seam allowances, steady stitching, and smooth fabric handling, while also exploring small-scale construction, working with layers, turning and finishing tight corners, and attaching hardware. Instructors share techniques for efficiency, clean finishes, and troubleshooting as the project progresses. You will leave with a completed chapstick holder and greater confidence using a sewing machine independently. It is a natural next step for makers interested in accessories, apparel, or more advanced textile projects at MadJax. All materials and equipment are provided. Lorcana – Win-a-Box Tournament

Next Level Games hosts a weekly competitive Disney Lorcana tournament with a win-a-box prize structure. The format is constructed with Swiss pairings, and matches are best of three with 50-minute rounds. The entry fee is $10. First place earns a full Lorcana booster box, chosen from sets in the range Ursula's Return through Reign of Jafar. Additionally, players receive one booster pack for each round win. This recurring event offers a chance to test decks, sharpen skills, and compete for prizes in a welcoming, competitive setting. Preregistration is available.

Enjoy a midweek skating special where five dollars covers admission and standard skate rental. Speed skates and inline skates are available for an extra charge. At Minnetrista, a participatory exhibition in the Center Building, Gallery 2 marks the nation’s 250th year by centering community perspectives on citizenship, belonging, and identity. The gallery experience encourages visitors to reflect on what being American means to them, explore a range of viewpoints, and add personal stories to a growing shared narrative through conversation and storytelling. Presented in partnership with Vasey Commercial Facility Solutions.

Discover a calm, intimate look at Bob Ross through a collection centered on his well loved cabins, often the only trace of people amid quiet natural settings. The exhibition highlights the recognizable hallmarks of his style while introducing unexpected moments from his wider legacy. Presented in the Upstairs Gallery of the L.L. Ball Home, and included with standard admission.

36th Annual Minnetrista Juried Art Show

At Minnetrista, the 36th annual juried exhibition fills Center Building, Gallery 1 with work from artists across Indiana. A wide range of styles is presented, selected through a competitive review. Juror Erika Kvam, director and head curator of Purdue University Galleries, curated the final roster. The showcase invites visitors to immerse themselves in fine art created by Indiana talent.

Yoga for Beginners: 4 Week Series

Start a four-week introduction to yoga created for beginners of every age, ability, and body type. Each class explores a small set of foundational seated and standing poses, building gradually from week to week and highlighting not only what to do, but why it matters. The emphasis is not on flexibility or keeping up with others, it is about noticing how the practice works in your own body and supports your nervous system. The full series is $50 for all four sessions. Space is limited to keep the experience supportive and personal, making it a welcoming place to begin if you have been curious about yoga and unsure where to start.

Bob Ross Painting Workshops

Explore Bob Ross’s wet-on-wet painting method with guidance from Certified Ross Instructors in the L.L. Ball Home & Center Building, Cantina, the space where The Joy of Painting was filmed. All supplies are provided, so participants only need to arrive ready to create. Open to ages 14 and older. Advance registration is recommended, and a limited number of walk-in spots may be available, so please call ahead. Each attendee must be registered to participate. A shadowy threat in Faerûn seeks to restore a five-headed queen who commands the forces of evil dragons, placing the Forgotten Realms in jeopardy. This ongoing campaign spans 17 chapters and is open to ages 15 and up. Beginners and experienced players are both welcome. Sessions are held at The Hub.

The Great Pages Circus brings a lively showcase to Muncie with soaring aerial performances, quick-witted clowns, and expert juggling. Decks must follow standard construction with an official English 50 card main deck and a 10 card resource deck, no proxies or foreign language cards, and a maximum of four copies of any single card. Spring Cleanup and Beautification

The Heartsaver CPR AED portion is designed for individuals with little or no medical background who need a completion card to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Those who successfully finish receive a course completion card that is valid for two years. The First Aid segment focuses on the basics for common emergencies, including how to recognize what is happening, call for assistance, and perform essential lifesaving actions, also geared toward participants without medical training. This free, in-person course presented by the IU Health Ball Memorial Pelvic Health Rehab Team explores how the body changes during and after pregnancy. It covers how ribs and the pelvis can shift, how organs reposition, and how increased pressure on the pelvic floor may lead to discomfort, weakness, and changes in movement. The focus is on understanding these changes and learning ways to navigate them through pregnancy and beyond. At MTAC, this introductory defensive pistol course helps gun owners establish a strong foundation in safe and effective handgun use. It welcomes those brand new to ownership as well as anyone returning to the range after time away, and it provides a professional, supportive setting focused on practical skill building. Participants learn essential safety principles and responsible ownership, explore how handguns operate along with common ammunition types, and practice safe handling, loading, unloading, and secure storage. Muncie Sprint and Olympic Triathlon #1 - USAT Indiana State Champs

Hosted at Prairie Creek Reservoir Park just outside Muncie, Indiana, this USA Triathlon state championship event features Sprint and Olympic distance triathlons along with duathlon, aquabike, and relay options. The triathlon also includes high school, Clydesdale, and Athena divisions. The setting draws on more than four decades of triathlon history and offers low-traffic roads with gentle rollers, a broad beach and swim area with a beach house, a shaded park finish, and parking close to transition. Lodging and dining are readily available in the Muncie area. Participants receive a custom finisher medal and a race shirt. Awards are presented for overall and age group results, in addition to USA Triathlon state championship honors. Distances include a Sprint triathlon with a 500 yard lake swim, a 12.5 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile segment, and an Olympic triathlon with a 1650 yard swim, a 25 mile bike, and a 6.2 mile run.

Decklists are required, and players can bring a completed list or fill one out at the store. Entry is $35. All entry fees are returned as cash prizes, scaled by attendance. The prize breakdown awards 40 percent of the pool plus an invitation to the Regional Championship and a Foil Foil Sowing Mycosopawn to first place, 20 percent to second, 10 percent each to third and fourth, and 5 percent each to fifth through eighth. Hosted at Oakwood Retreat Center, this retreat offers an intensive study of djembe rhythms based on the teachings of the late Grand Master drummer Mamady Keita. Instruction is led by M. Taylor, Senior Certified Instructor and Director of the Tam Tam Mandingue-Chicago branch. Most classes are mixed level, bringing beginners and advanced players together as each rhythm includes parts that are both approachable and challenging.

Formed in 1993 and based in Kokomo, this soulful trio features brothers Mike Milligan on guitar and vocals and Shaun Milligan on bass, with Robert "Tiny" Cook on drums and vocals. They marked 30 years in 2023 with the album Kokomo Honey on Mojo Hut Records. Honors include a Lifetime of Keeping the Blues Alive recognition from the Fishers Blues Festival and an achievement award from the Mayor of Muncie. The band has shared stages with BB King, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Los Lonely Boys, and Jimmie Vaughan, and has appeared at notable venues and events including House of Blues in Chicago and Cleveland, Reds Stadium, BB King’s in Nashville, and appearances tied to the Indy 500 and NFL Super Bowl events. With seven releases on Mojo Hut Records, extensive touring, and thousands of shows, they continue to deliver seasoned, blues-driven performances. Mike Milligan is also a Fender artist, and the group is a past winner of the International Blues Challenge in Indianapolis.

🎱 600 & Under FargoRate 8-Ball Tournament

The Hoosier Open Tour brings a 600-and-under FargoRate 8-ball tournament to Big Shots Pub in Muncie, offering developing and mid-level players a serious competitive setting. Players with a FargoRate of 600 or below are eligible, and ratings must be established or verifiable. Entry is $120, and the field is limited to 64 competitors. Matches follow BCA rules with winner breaks, and FargoRate is used for both eligibility and reporting. Races are built around a race to 5, with the higher-rated player required to win one additional game for every 75 points of rating difference, up to three extra games. Final race details will be confirmed at the player meeting. Expect a lively room with quality tables, good food, and an enthusiastic crowd, and spectators are welcome. Hosted at Player's Club Golf Course, the Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce presents its largest networking event on the golf course.
