Montessori & Music offers an outdoor, child-led introduction to live performance for young children and their parents. Real musicians play a violin and cello duet while children are free to move, play, and come closer when curiosity draws them in. They can listen to each instrument on its own, notice how the sounds differ, and then hear how the two blend together. Sensory Montessori materials are available outside so little hands can stay engaged at their own pace while ears take in the music. There is no expectation to sit quietly. A child might pause to watch the bow on the strings, listen briefly and return to an activity, or continue playing while the cello carries across the playground.
