The American Five
The American Five is a regional premiere play that looks at pivotal moments in the lives of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Coretta Scott King, Bayard Rustin, Stanley Levison, and Clarence B. Jones in the tense lead-up to the March on Washington. Through their strategy, collaboration, and moral conviction, the story explores themes of nonviolence, leadership, and personal sacrifice, including the pressure and threats faced by those at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement.
The Unicorn Theatre: Berkshire Theatre GroupA Chorus Line
Seventeen dancers step into the spotlight to audition for a coveted place in a new Broadway production, revealing the drive, vulnerability, and grit it takes to make the cut. In a major musical staging, Alan Paul directs the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning phenomenon that soared to fame 50 years ago. Conceived and originally directed and choreographed by Michael Bennett, with a book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban, and co-choreography by Bob Avian. This production is a co-production with Geva Theatre. Sponsored by the Feigenbaum Foundation and David & Carrie Shulman, with additional support from Jeff Davis & Michael Miller and Berkshire Money Management. Associated programs include an opening celebration, a deeper look session, and an aftershow conversation.
Boyd-Quinson StageGrief Support Group
A supportive, peer-guided grief group for adults offers space to share experiences and find understanding alongside others navigating loss. Conversations focus on mutual support in a caring setting at the Youth Center building. For more information, contact the Youth Center at (413) 458-5925.
Escape Game | Young Adult Programming
Explore the question of whether a brain boosting supplement should be added to the public water supply through an immersive puzzle challenge. Teams of four to five players navigate clues shaped by manipulated media, social media bots, deepfakes, and other forms of deception, using critical thinking and collaboration to solve the mystery.
