Berkshire AthenaeumJoin us for Summer Author Series at The Mount!
A seasonal highlight at The Mount, the Summer Author Series spotlights acclaimed biographers who delve into lives that challenged convention. Sessions range from the story of modern Russia told through its women to a fresh look at the early United States through the intertwined journeys of Angelica and Elizabeth Schuyler. Attendees will also follow a young correspondent in Paris as war approaches, and consider how Bruce Lee’s singular presence reshaped culture, confronted Hollywood, and continues to influence what it means to be Asian in America. Additional conversations offer new perspectives on figures such as Dolly Parton, Jessica Mitford, Samuel Alito, and James Baldwin, showing how bold and unexpected lives have steered the cultural and political forces that shape today’s world. Tickets are $27 for members and $32 for non-members. The program takes place rain or shine, and series passes are available.
