Round Table GamesThe Wailin' Jenny's
The Wailin’ Jennys take the stage at Plymouth Memorial Hall. Nicky Mehta, Ruth Moody, and Heather Masse blend three distinct voices into a seamless harmony. The trio began as a one-time gathering of solo singer-songwriters at a small guitar shop in Winnipeg, Manitoba, then evolved into a widely admired international folk act. Founding members Moody and Mehta, together with New York-based Masse, continue to advance their folk-roots sound with recordings that earn critical praise and live shows celebrated for their powerful performances.
Plymouth Memorial HallAntje Duvekot and more
A showcase of two distinctive voices in contemporary folk, featuring Antje Duvekot and Richard Shindell. Duvekot brings the road-earned presence of an artist who has toured the United States and Europe many times, appeared at premier gatherings like the Newport Folk Festival, Mountain Stage, and the Philadelphia and Kerrville festivals, and headlined Scotland’s Celtic Connections and Denmark’s Tonder Festival. Her honors include the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the Kerrville Best New Folk Award, and a Boston Music Award for Outstanding Folk Act. Her fifth studio album, New Wild West, reflects a midlife inflection point, shifting from simply naming past wounds to meeting them with resolve. Songs such as Girl on a Wire and Evolution speak to perseverance and the long work of finding a voice, continuing a relationship with music that began as a refuge and now aims to give something back. Richard Shindell, a New Yorker living in Buenos Aires, writes narrative songs that paint scenes, inhabit characters, and juxtapose vivid images. Experiences ranging from time in a Zen Buddhist monastery to busking on Paris streets inform that perspective. His album Careless, shaped across three years between New York and Buenos Aires, is a full length statement built through patient studio exploration. It balances his recognizable acoustic approach with a deeper embrace of electric guitar for a broader sonic range.
