This Summer – Make Art with ArtVan
Lewiston Public Library partners with ArtVan to host hands-on art-making in Callahan Hall for children ages 5 to 14. Participants ages 5 to 8 should attend with an adult. ArtVan, a traveling arts program, fosters creativity, growth, and enjoyment through projects that invite exploration of many different materials. Activities welcome a range of ages, promote time outdoors and reduced screen use, strengthen connection, ease stress, and offer healthy ways to express difficult emotions. Since 2004, ArtVan has delivered therapeutic, strengths-based art programs in under-resourced neighborhoods. The sessions are free, open to the public, and require no registration, and all supplies are provided. For details, contact the Lewiston Public Library at 513-3133 or LPLKids@lewistonmaine.gov.
