The Public TheatreMind-Body Skills Group for Youth
Designed for children affected by the events of 10/25/2023, this youth group offers a caring environment with activities suited to their age. Sessions focus on creative expression, connection with peers, emotional wellbeing, and practical mind body techniques. Participants practice skills that support coping, deepen emotional understanding, and build resilience within a supportive community. To ask whether the group is the right fit for your child, email info@maineresiliencycenter.org. ASL interpretation is available upon request, and please contact info@maineresiliencycenter.org at least 48 hours in advance.
Support Group: Survivor Experiences
This group offers a caring space for people affected by the events of 10/25/2023 to reflect on survivor guilt, grief, healing, and the challenges of moving forward after trauma. It welcomes those who were there as well as anyone deeply impacted by what happened and its aftermath, including family, loved ones, witnesses, helpers, community members, and others who carry feelings that can be hard to explain. Conversations may explore experiences such as feeling disloyal when enjoying life, replaying what might have gone differently, believing others suffered more, wondering whether support is deserved after surviving, trying to hold both grief and gratitude, feeling uneasy about moving ahead, sensing distance from people who were not there, or feeling stuck in the memories of that day. Whether these feelings are new, ongoing, or difficult to name, participation is welcome. Sharing is always optional, and everyone can engage at a pace that feels comfortable. ASL interpretation is available with advance request by emailing info@maineresiliencycenter.org at least 48 hours beforehand.
