WOW, short for World of Word, invites audiences into a theatrical encounter where meaning moves beyond speech. Two communities begin on opposite sides of a line, with one drawing on ancestral African knowledge and sharing it through gripping stories, entrancing songs, and initiation rites while the other listens and learns with a mix of hesitation and resistance. Soon the spoken barrier gives way to gesture, rhythm, and sound. Ropes and rigging turn into a living vocabulary as double Dutch skipping, elastic bungee movement, and rope-driven contortion open new channels of communication. Three guiding figures embody the way forward... Trust, Respect, and Wisdom. Through acrobatic partnering and steady support, the divide softens, bodies move as one, and tradition blends with contemporary motion. The finale rises into a collective dance of unity and awakening, revealing the journey itself as the message. Tickets are priced at $57 to $67 and are nonrefundable.
