Raised in Poland Spring on a small homestead with chickens, fruit trees, and a bustling family garden, Sigrid Sibley writes songs rooted in bluegrass, Americana, and other traditional styles. She began composing as a teenager, and her music draws on classic folk themes along with her connection to nature, agriculture, and everyday life in Maine. Performing both solo and with her band, she has taken the stage across Maine and beyond, including appearances at the Common Ground Fair in Unity, the Maine Cheese Festival in Pittsfield, the Word Barn in Exeter, New Hampshire, and the Poland Spring Resort summer concert series. She studied Music Education with a focus on composition at the University of Southern Maine, collaborating with Southern Maine musicians who helped shape her debut album, Old Faithful Dreams, released in May 2025. Its first single, Never Knew Love, was a finalist in the 2025 Maine Songwriters Association contest. She is also part of the inaugural LEAF fellowship class at One Longfellow Square. Expect an evening centered on original songwriting that reflects her roots and the acoustic traditions that inspire her.

The menu presents four courses that pair edible insects with mushrooms cultivated from North Spore grow blocks, emphasizing efficient resource use, minimal space needs, and the possibility of growing food in many settings. The night begins with a cocktail hour featuring insect-inspired cocktails and alcohol-free options, followed by a seated four-course meal highlighting creative preparations of insects and mushrooms. During the pause in live concerts, she co produced Will It Ever Be the Same, her first full length studio release in eighteen years. Explore hand-built ceramics in a three-session workshop at Artascope Studios focused on creating sculptural vessels with coil techniques. Coil building offers an approachable and versatile way to form larger, organic pieces and can be easier for beginners than working on the wheel. This workshop welcomes all experience levels. The first session introduces inspiring examples and a demonstration of the process using simple tools. Participants can arrive with a concept or discover their form as they work, building gradually coil by coil, joining each layer by hand, and smoothing and shaping with a flexible tool so the structure supports itself. Unfinished work can be wrapped to continue in the next session. During the second session, continue refining and completing the piece or begin a new one. Options include leaving some coils visible, combining multiple coil-built sections, and adding texture or decorative details. Pieces need to dry slowly and thoroughly before the bisque firing. In the final session, apply glaze to the bisque-fired work so it can be fired a second time. Finished pieces will be available for pickup at a later date. Tuition is $175 for non-members and $140 for members. Materials are not included. Clay is sold by the pound and can be purchased from the instructor at the start of the workshop. Instructor Paula Wolfe taught high school pottery in Massachusetts before teaching jewelry. She is returning to her love of hand building, with a special interest in containers for plants and floral arrangements, and uses a flexible tool to refine and sculpt surfaces after the coils have been joined.

Jud Caswell, a Maine native who writes songs and plays multiple instruments, has been performing in his home state and beyond for more than 25 years. He rose to national prominence with a 2006 win at the Kerrville New Folk competition. His songs have been included in coursework at Berklee, recorded by Judy Collins, and one was ranked number 4 Song of the Decade by New York’s WFUV. His live album Live at the Seagull Shop reached the top spot on the Folk Alliance International radio charts in March 2020. He is currently releasing a series of albums created from recordings made during the early months of the pandemic.

A performance at the Side Door at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick features saxophonist, flautist, and composer Justin Wood with pianist Tyler Wood. Justin, raised in Presque Isle, Maine, has been based in New York City since the early 2000s and has performed across the United States and abroad with Spoke, the Colombian brass ensemble Chia’s Dance Party, and ensembles led by the late composers Diego Obregon and Bill Lee. Tyler’s work spans piano, production, and recording engineering. After early forays on piano, trumpet, and drums, he moved to Brooklyn to tour and record with Luke Temple, Glass Ghost, and Joan as Police Woman. He co-founded the indie-soul project Oh My Goodness and collaborates internationally as a recording engineer documenting folkloric music with the nonprofit Remix<–>Culture. For the past twelve years he has lived in Catskill, New York, where he frequently works with local artists.

This leading North American tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band goes far beyond a typical cover act, recreating the spirit and sound of Springsteen’s live shows along with faithful takes on studio recordings. The set spans the full catalog, from early releases to later projects, and includes deep cuts such as songs known from anthologies that many other tributes leave out. An eight piece lineup, sometimes augmented by additional musicians, covers every E Street role. When the music calls for it, violin and other instruments are added to capture the fine details.

A Plush Christmas Concert brings a spirited holiday program to the Franco Center, performed by a seasoned ten piece ensemble. The lineup features vocalists Amanda Tubbs, Mat Zaro, Amanda Roswick, and Ashley Ellis, with Owen Conforte on vocals and guitar, Andrew Doody on saxophone and electric wind instrument, Trevor Lavenbein on trumpet, Dawson Hill on piano, Geoff Chartier on bass, and Chris Wilkes on drums.
