Bite-Size Book Club
This low-pressure short story club takes place in YDL-Michigan (Meeting Room 1). Participants read the selected story together using copies provided, take a brief break, then take part in a group conversation guided by a rotating guest curator. No advance reading is required, and treats help set a friendly tone. If reading ahead is preferred, a copy can be picked up in advance by arrangement.
Ypsilanti District LibrarySaline Food Truck Festival 2026
Taking place over Father's Day weekend, this family friendly food truck festival raises funds for Saline Area Social Service. A large lineup of vendors serves a broad range of flavors, with vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and other allergen friendly selections available. Ten percent of all food truck sales support SASS. Adults will find a beer barn with cold drinks, and every dollar of its profits benefits SASS. Live music keeps the energy up with popular songs from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Young attendees can enjoy a dedicated kids area and a touch a truck experience that lets them check out impressive vehicles. An Adult Field Day Contest adds extra excitement. The entry fee is 20 dollars, the prize pool awards half of all contest fees to the winners, and the remaining half goes to SASS. Admission is five dollars for anyone 16 and older, while children 15 and under enter free. Food trucks slated to serve include Papelon Arepa Bar, Detroit Sibling Rivalry, Stellos Burgers, Impasto, Detroit Mini Donuts, Grand Traverse Pie Co., The Iron, TRU Pizza Co., Seoul Rolls, Bearclaw Coffee Co., Vegged Out, Bruster's Real Ice Cream, Tacos El Mariachi Loco, Shawarma Chef, Bussin' Bowls, and La Rotisserie. Chrissy Myers and Saline Area Social Service are the only authorized contacts for this event.
Washtenaw Farm Council GroundsWildly Human: Breathwork + Movement Journey
An immersive solstice-themed session led by Sarah and Vinnie weaves breathwork, alignment-focused yoga, music, and intuitive, fluid movement to encourage a playful, grounded reconnection with the body and to create room for both intentional and instinctive motion. Breath is used as a gateway into the body while movement helps ease stress, shift stuck energy, spark creativity, and tap into more candid self-expression. Expect periods of settling, flow, strength, rhythm, reflection, and release, all held by music and a supportive group atmosphere. The emphasis is on listening rather than performing. Instead of striving to get it right, participants are invited to soften, tune inward, and let movement become a channel for expression and for settling the nervous system into a felt sense of aliveness. No dance background is needed, only a willingness to move, breathe, and be present. The fee is $35, with a 10% discount for members.
Zion WellLady Sunshine
