Cinninger Ponce Experience

The Livery in Benton Harbor welcomes the debut of a new collaboration from multi-instrumentalists Jake Cinninger of Umphrey’s McGee and Roy Ponce of Brainchild, performing as the Cinninger Ponce Experience. Sparked by a conversation about a birthday concert at the venue, the idea grew into a full-fledged project, with Cinninger alternating between bass and six string. The music centers on live improvisation, building themes in the moment, and exploring the breadth of their catalogs. Ponce’s recent opening set for JacoReba turned into a spontaneous jam with Jaco that resulted in two new songs created on the spot, a glimpse of the inventive spirit guiding this project. Drummer Parker Rose, a Central Illinois native known for adapting his style across multiple bands, joins the lineup. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Glow Day | Discover the Power Inside You!

An interactive celebration for children uses games and hands-on activities to explore how the nervous system supports growth, healing, focus, movement, and learning. Kids pick up simple daily habits that build energy for school, sports, friendships, and other favorite pursuits, and they are encouraged to recognize their own capacity to adapt, recover, and grow by caring for themselves from the inside out. The schedule includes a segment for children under 10. Education is provided by Dr. Tara Scharich, a fifth-generation chiropractor who focuses on gentle, brain-based care for kids and the parents who support them, drawing on four pillars of chiropractic, nutrition, movement, and mindset to address underlying causes and practical solutions. Her work emphasizes reconnecting the brain and body and supporting families facing big emotions, developmental or sensory challenges, pregnancy needs, and the pressures of modern life. The Erly in Niles, MI at Riverfest

The Erly returns to Riverfest at Riverfront Park in Niles, Michigan for an all-ages show with free admission. Hailing from Niles, the group began in late 2017 when vocalist and bassist Collin Mattiford teamed up with vocalist and drummer Fran Gleason, soon adding guitarist and vocalist Trevor McDonald after a last minute musician-wanted post led to a Craigslist connection. Keyboardist Simon Kauffman Hurst later rounded out the lineup. The band’s catalog includes the albums Shadows (2018), Reckless (2021), Culture Fever (2023), and Salem Lights (2024). Along the way they have built a loyal regional following with songs like “Flame The Main,” “Red Roof Inn,” “Hey Amanda,” and “Jasmine,” and Salem Lights features the crowd-ready “55 On The Other Side.” Their growing profile has placed them on stages with Sixpence None The Richer, Cracker, and Max. Live, The Erly blends tight songcraft with on-the-spot exploration, so no two sets are the same. Rich vocal harmonies rooted in folk and Americana weave through touches of jazz, rock, funk, and soul for a dynamic concert experience.
