Back to School Bash
A free, community back-to-school celebration with summer favorites like hamburgers and hot dogs alongside carnival games, bounce houses, obstacle courses, and more. Backpacks will be given away to kids preparing for the new school year. Registration is requested to help plan for food, backpacks, and attendance. There is also an option to donate a backpack to support a student.

A complimentary meal on the front lawn is paired with activities for every age group. This free gathering celebrates the Holland Heights neighborhood. Visitors are welcome to stop by briefly or stay for all the festivities.
Holland Heights ChurchRun for the Sun 2026
The Run for the Sun 5k returns to Kollen Park in downtown Holland along Lake Macatawa. The race begins on the park’s east side, where parking is limited; nearby street parking is available within a short walk, and additional parking can be found on the west side near the boat launch. Bib pickup is available before the race beside the starting area on the east side of the park, close to the playground. The Polar Patrol treat truck will return with complimentary treats.

Reading the Rainbow, the inclusive book club from Out On The Lakeshore, welcomes people of all genders and identities. Participants explore LGBTQ+ literature twice a month through lively conversations and activities inspired by the books, such as film screenings and author talks.
