Outdoor play for children six and under in the Children's Area at the Huss Project Farm. Kids can get creative in the mud kitchen, explore the farm, and hike the woods trail. This gathering happens in all weather, so dress accordingly. Park near the south end of the parking lot and enter the gate on the south side of the building next to the Bike Shop to reach the backyard.

This motorsports event features bump and run, a stock demolition derby, and Powerwheels. The bump and run portion includes YS, FWD S, and PP.

Food Truck Friday brings tasty eats and scenic river views to Mongo all summer. Hosted by Trading Post Outfitters beside the Pigeon River, this weekly series showcases a different food truck in the on-site parking area to help kick off the weekend. New this year, the Scoop Shack will be open each Friday serving hand dipped ice cream. Expect a relaxed riverside atmosphere with plenty of flavors to explore.

The weekly farmers market at The Huss Project brings together a wide range of local vendors with fresh produce, maple syrup, honey, meat, eggs, baked goods, personal care items, and more. Families can enjoy weekly children’s activities on the urban farm, explore at their own pace with self-guided tours, browse a book sale, and grab a cup of coffee. On the second Saturday of each month, the market adds an art market, live music, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra Musical Storybooks, food trucks, and other special features. Activities and vendors are set up in the Front Porch Pavilion and in the Imaginarium along the north side of the Huss building. Payments are accepted by cash, check, credit card, SNAP using the Michigan Bridge Card, WIC Produce Connection, Senior Project Fresh, Double Up Food Bucks, and Huss Project Fresh Food Cards.
