St. Croix Hospice Bereavement Staff leads a monthly in-person support group focused on grief and loss. Each session covers a different topic related to grieving and offers practical guidance for navigating its challenging realities. The group is open to anyone who has lost a spouse, parent, child, sibling, friend, or other family member. Participants can share their own story and connect with others, and sharing is encouraged but not required. This gathering is open to the public, including those who have not received services from St. Croix Hospice. Attendees may participate each month or as their schedules allow. Registration is not required.

Families can swing by the Cedar River Farmers Market for kid-friendly activities. Start by picking up a Vendor Passport at the Magic Door Designs booth, visit the vendors around the market, then bring the passport back to Magic Door Designs to receive a free prize. Giveaways include children’s books, and there will be sidewalk chalk and coloring activities for creative fun. If a child experiences sensory sensitivities, a prize can be provided without completing the passport.

The schedule spans two days, with the games show on Saturday and the pleasure show on Sunday. Registration for both shows closes in advance.

The fourth annual 9/11 Heroes Run 5K in Austin, Minnesota welcomes runners, walkers, and ruck participants, with in-person and virtual options available. Created to honor those lost on 9/11 and the many who stepped forward afterward, it brings the community together in a spirit of remembrance and service. Registration includes the official race shirt. Chandler's Conceal & Carry offers a permit to carry course covering Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida at Cedar Valley Conservation Club in Austin. The class is open to all experience levels and does not require Hunter Safety or prior firearms training. Completion of the course provides eligibility to apply for or renew a Minnesota Permit to Carry, which is recognized in 36 states, and also to apply for or renew a Florida non-resident permit. Instruction concludes with a brief live fire exercise. The fee is $95 and includes the range fee. All essentials are provided, including required paperwork and applications, eye and ear protection, a target, and the use of a handgun with ammunition at no additional cost.
