Kick off your shoes as Ren McCormack leaves Chicago for the small town of Bomont, where a tragic past has led to a ban on dancing and rock music. Ren challenges the rules upheld by the town’s minister and fights to make a high school dance possible. Along the way he builds new friendships, falls for the minister’s headstrong daughter, and helps the community confront its grief and find a path toward healing. Presented at the Oltman Middle School Auditorium, with a variety of performance options that include a Pay What You Can showing, a sensory friendly performance, and an ASL interpreted performance.
