Wednesday Crafters
Adults gather at Newport Public Library for a relaxed crafting get-together where attendees bring a favorite project and connect over a shared hobby. Presented through Newport Library’s Senior Social Program, it offers seniors a welcoming space to build community, continue learning, and thrive. The program also features Free Coffee Hours on Thursdays, crafting on Wednesdays, and special activities throughout the year.
Newport Public LibrarySchool Supply Swap
Washington County is hosting a free school supply swap at the North Environmental Center in Forest Lake and the South Environmental Center in Woodbury. Community members can pick up gently used items such as notebooks, calculators, scissors, pencil cases, and more. There is no cost to participate and donations are not required to take supplies. Any leftover materials will be donated within the community. Gently used school supplies can be dropped off during open hours at either center, focusing on items students might otherwise discard at the end of the school year.
South Environmental CenterSummer Concert Series
Part of the Concert in the Park series at Jefferson Park, this free summertime event brings the community together with live music. A food truck festival, activities for children, and a marketplace featuring local businesses round out the experience.

Skoolie brings Family Fun Nights to Royal Oaks Elementary in Woodbury. Enjoy games, craft activities, food, and books to take home at no cost. This stop is part of a weekly circuit held Monday through Thursday at four schools, with Mondays at Pullman Elementary in St Paul Park, Tuesdays at Newport Elementary in Newport, Wednesdays at Royal Oaks Elementary, and Thursdays at Armstrong Elementary in Cottage Grove.
