A Christmas in October battle of the bands spotlights local performers while supporting kids and families through the Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast and Kids Cove in Osage Beach and Lake Ozark. Artists compete in three categories, country band, classic rock band, and solo or duo. Top honors include $1,500 for the leading country band, $1,500 for the leading classic rock band, and $750 for the best solo or duo, plus a trophy, a spot on The Encore Lakeside Grill and Sky Bar 2027 calendar, and bragging rights. Selected acts will be assigned performance times once the lineup is finalized. All sets must remain at or below 90 decibels, otherwise the performance will be halted and disqualified. This celebration of local talent also makes a difference for the community.
