Earth Day Party
Celebrate Earth Day on the newly opened Rock Island Bridge in Kansas City, Kansas with a fundraiser hosted by Sierra Club Kansas that benefits both the Kansas and Missouri chapters. Admission includes complimentary appetizers, beverages are available for purchase, and donations are welcome to support the cause. The program features the Sierra Sessions national live streamed concert alongside live music, spoken word, and presentations from community leaders and local organizations about environmental work in and around Kansas City. This is a come and go event, so attendees can drop in for part or stay throughout. Casual attire is appropriate. The gathering is planned rain or shine, with adjustments possible in the event of severe weather. The venue is newly opened and is sponsoring the event.
Rock Island BridgeTEEN Study Lounge
North-East hosts a teen study lounge in a large studio space where participants can focus on academics and collaborate on projects with other teens. Study materials are provided. Open to ages 12 to 18.
Happy Hour
Brighten the middle of your week with free, after-work concerts performed by musicians of the Kansas City Symphony. The Brandmeyer Great Hall lobby at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts offers a relaxed setting to enjoy a drink, followed by a brief and casual performance. Ticket reservations open 30 days before each performance, with more information to come.
