The Annual Lincoln Grassroots Fly-In brings a lively showcase of arriving aircraft at Lincoln Municipal Airport, with chances to see the planes up close and chat with the pilots. Meals are available by free will donation, featuring biscuits and gravy for breakfast and chili dogs for lunch, with those donations benefiting the Lincoln Community Care Guild. Amy B. with 97.1 The Lake will be on site running Plinko and handing out prizes from local merchants. Event proceeds support FAA-required improvements that help preserve the field, which is among the few public grass airfields remaining in the state.

This run and walk features a 5k run or a 2 mile walk, plus a kids half mile. It offers options for different distances.

Customer Appreciation Day, a Warrensburg Farmers' Market tradition, celebrates those who support local farmers, makers, and small businesses throughout the season. Every purchase from a market vendor counts as an entry in the Customer Appreciation raffle, featuring a variety of gift baskets and other prizes donated by vendors. Shopping with more vendors increases your chances. Winners are announced at the close of the market, and entries are available only through purchases made that morning. The day also includes yoga on the Johnson County Courthouse Lawn. Browse fresh produce, homemade baked goods, handcrafted goods, local meats, flowers, and more from the market’s vendors.

Salute to Veterans Craft Show, presented by the George T. Murphy American Legion Post 491, blends a community 5K on the Katy Trail with shopping and family-friendly activities. Browse booths from makers arranged around the park and take part in classic games. The American Legion Post Family will be serving biscuits and gravy in the newly renovated Bank Building venue. Vendors, both veteran and civilian, are invited to participate with no fee for booths, and spaces are assigned during setup. Veteran-owned businesses are especially encouraged. Tipton Septemberfest returns for its fourth year at the Tipton Fairgrounds with a full day of shopping, food, family activities, live music and community spirit. Organized by a small team of local volunteers, the festival directs proceeds to local organizations, with this year’s support going to Ability Mid-Mo. Attendees can explore nearly 100 vendors featuring makers and small businesses, enjoy food trucks and drinks, and let kids play in a dedicated zone with inflatables and a petting zoo. Highlights include an America’s 250th themed parade, the Run for Rodney 5K, Septemberfest Royalty, a baking contest and auction, and the hometown premiere of a film by Jim Shipley featuring the Tuskegee Airmen. Music fills the day and carries into the night, and beer is available from Bee’s Knees. After vendor shopping ends, the celebration continues with food, drinks and live music into the evening. Admission is free, and Kids Zone wristbands are $20 for unlimited play.

Break Bread – Raise Hope brings the community together for an evening focused on addressing hunger. Attendees can share a meal, connect with one another, and take part in activities that support Open Door Service Center and its mission to provide food for local families. Participation helps deliver meals to neighbors in need and fosters a sense of hope. Event sponsorship is provided by Premier Climate Control.
