Summer Music in the Library Park

Settle into Library Park for a free evening of live music under the Big Sky with Joselyn & Don. Bring a picnic if you like, or enjoy desserts from The IceBox, with a food truck planned for additional purchase options. The Montana-raised, Los Angeles-based duo blends Laurel Canyon folk, soul, and classic Americana with a cinematic touch, creating songs that travel through memory, identity, and the American landscape. Their third album, “Lost & Found Highway,” explores rediscovery, change, and loss. It was produced by Graham Richman and mixed by Kevin Smith, with contributions from Mauricio “Fritz” Lewak on drums, Bob Glaub on bass, and Greg Leisz on pedal steel. Guests include Cristina Vane, Chris Pierce, and Abby Posner. Notable singles include “Choose Love” featuring Chris Pierce, highlighted on NPR’s The Midnight Special and The Great American Folk Show. “Workin’ the Hi-Line” honors Don’s father and his journey from the Philippines to Northern Montana. “Girl From the Mountain” brings an upbeat alt-country feel that reflects the pull of home, and “Right on Through” featuring Cristina Vane premiered on the SoCal Sound KCSN and has been heard on Americana radio across the U.S. and Europe. The album has appeared on Folk Radio charts and spent more than four weeks on Americana Radio’s Top 100, with coverage from Americana UK, Twangville, and Americana Highways. Building on earlier releases “Soar” and “Seeds & Bones,” the duo has performed at venues such as ASU Kerr Cultural Center, Grand Annex, and Hotel Café, and appeared on Montana Public Radio and KXLU’s Wildwood Flower Radio Hour. They have shared bills with Chris Stills with Lukas Nelson, Willie Watson, Kyshona, and Jess Williamson. Joselyn founded the women’s global fusion group ADAAWE, which toured festivals and performing arts centers, released two albums, and appeared with artists including Stevie Wonder and Leanne Rimes. She also released two solo albums and toured with her soul and folk band Wild Roots. Don began with the Blue Devils drum and bugle corps, works as a multi-instrumentalist and composer with credits including Jill Sobule and Jaqueline Fuentes, and serves as an editor for television’s long-running animated series The Simpsons. On stage, their arrangements feature finger-picked guitar, tenor ukulele, and percussion, spotlighting Joselyn’s voice with Barrozo’s harmonies. The duo approaches music as a way to share truth and strengthen community.
