Third RoomStabbing Westward: 30 Years of Wither Blister Burn + Peel
Eulogy presents a special night honoring three decades of Wither Blister Burn + Peel, headlined by Stabbing Westward with guests Acumen Nation and Priest. The group began in 1986 when Walter Flakus and Christopher Hall joined forces, blending hard-edged industrial electronics and rock with goth-leaning melodies and big, radio-ready hooks. Rising during the alternative surge of the mid 90s, they delivered hallmark songs like "Shame," "Save Yourself," "So Far Away," and "What Do I Have to Do?", tracks that voiced heartache, anger, and disillusion. After earning two Gold records and a string of hits, the band split following its 2001 self-titled album, while Hall continued with The Dreaming. The path back formed around The Dreaming’s Rise Again in 2015, which reunited Hall and Flakus, and in 2019 Stabbing Westward returned with the Dead and Gone EP, their first new material in 18 years, written and produced by the founding duo across multiple locations. The lineup also features longtime collaborator Carlton Bost and drummer Bobby Amaro. Early producer John Fryer, instrumental to Ungod and Wither Blister Burn + Peel, rejoined to help craft Chasing Ghosts, planned with COP International for early 2022. Marking the 30th anniversary of their first Gold album, Hall and Flakus revisit and rework Wither Blister Burn + Peel as Wither ReWired in 2026. This performance salutes that legacy and the era-spanning catalog that continues to resonate.
