Seth brings captivating vocals and guitar paired with a continually evolving suitcase kick drum groove, while Sara supports with percussion and gentle harmonies that fit their cowboy-tinged sound. The set mixes affection and humor with heartbreak and moments that invite dancing, all carried by a rootsy edge.

AyurPrana Listening Room hosts a two-part gathering with Nessi Gomes, pairing a vocal workshop with a concert. Nessi is a singer and songwriter shaped by a life between places and languages, raised in Guernsey by Madeiran parents, and her music lives in the spaces between genres. Her voice carries songs that face difficult feelings with honesty, tracing grief, doubt, and the work of belonging, and finding light that feels earned rather than polished. Her debut album, Diamonds & Demons, emerged from upheaval with community support, holding both delicate hope and resilient strength as it quietly connected with listeners around the world. Beyond the stage, she has spent years exploring the voice as a way to meet emotion and truth, drawing on Creative Expressive Therapies and therapeutic vocal practice. The workshop leans away from performance technique and toward caring for what does not always find words, inviting presence rather than polish. She is currently writing and listening closely to new material, with songs taking shape that are tender and steady, open and unwilling to settle for easy answers. This event brings together her facilitation and her live performance in one setting, offering space for reflection as well as song.

Rise & Shine marks three decades of empowering, encouraging, and enriching children and families in Transylvania County through academic support, mentorship, and community. This milestone celebration at Parker Concert Hall at Brevard Music Center offers an evening of connection, inspiration, music, and shared memories while honoring the scholars, families, volunteers, donors, and community partners who have sustained this work since 1996.
