Get started on a high school equivalency diploma through CFCC with free GED test preparation. This program serves individuals who have not completed high school and want to earn an equivalency credential. Students planning to study on the Wilmington campus or online must complete a required two part orientation. Sessions are held in the McLeod (S) Building, room S-105 on the downtown campus, and attendance at both steps is mandatory. Please bring a photo ID that includes birth date and signature, along with a Social Security card. Students who are 16 or 17 also need a notarized parental consent form. Those 16 or 17 who were enrolled in a public school in the past six months must provide an official school withdrawal form. CFCC currently offers the GED test as its high school equivalency exam, and there is no cost to attend the classes.
